Most modern tv's can scan the channels that are being broadcast over cable and remember which channels are available. It would forget your channel list after power failure. I would recommend trying to find a scan option in the menu some where.

I have a sylvania monitor model CL772B. The light is green and flashing after a power outage. The manual doesmnot describe this condition. There is no screen image. How can I correct the problem? If needed...

This seems to be issue with the Computer not the monitor. Check the monitor with different computer or you can check the monitor also. For this take out the monitor cable from the tower and turn on the monitor alone, if you get any message on the monitor screen it means that monitor is fine. Try this and let me know.

Desktop won't start after Hurrican IKE power outage

the only thing i can think of is the power supply got fried that is the most common problem when it comes to the pc not powering on. Now hopefully that is all that it fried and not the motherboard my suggestion is to take to local pc repair shop and have them change your power supply or you could put it in if you familiar with how the machine is wired.

Computer monitor comes on for 1 seconds, flashes "analog power save mode" and then goes black.

Most monitors will say "Power save mode" when they can tell through residual voltage that the signal lead is plugged into a machine, but there's no picture being transmitted. The four states of a monitor are:

* Off entirely.
* Switched on, plugged into a computer but no video signal being received - usually displays "analog power save mode" or "digital power save mode" for a few seconds, then blanks. Comes back to life the moment a video signal is received. This state is the default in full power saving mode.
* Switched on, not plugged into a computer. Some monitors don't display anything, some go into power saving mode, some fly "CHECK SIGNAL CABLE" or a similar message around the screen. Picture is restored when the signal cable is plugged back into the computer
* On fully, receiving an image, and displaying.

Hope this helps.
