Kenmore 600 series electric dryer

My dryer just began taking an exceptional amount of time to dry a load. We have blown out the hose at the back of the dryer and cleaned lint trap regularly but the hose that connects to the wall seems to be filling up with condensation so obviously we have ablockage somewhere! Please tell me where to begin :)

Worked fine for a couple of weeks, then stopped heating. Repair man couldn't help. Then, all of a sudden, it started working fine again. Recently stopped heating again! What's going on?

I have the same problem with mine - no lint blockage anywhere, but exceptionally long drying times. I'm looking into taking off and inspecting the blower wheel. Btw - thanks to the ********* who said "get a new dryer" - go **** yourself.

Start outside at exhaust hoot look for blockage there first look for steep dip or drop in line where condensation can acumilate

It sounds like a connection problem with one of the heating elements, or perhaps only a clogged input or output hose from the dryer. Either of these could cause the problem...also, a burned out electric element.

Why isn't My Kenmore Heavy Duty 70 Series Soft Heat Extra Capacity Electric Dryer drying clothes on any one cycle?

One possibility: Air flow! Make sure that the lint trap is cleaned before each cycle. You likely need to thoroughly clean out the vent piping out the back of the machine- a buildup of lint in here can also restrict airflow.

Frigidaire Front Load Dryer Model # leq2152eeo Problem: it is not drying the clothes. The dryer heats up and everything else is working, except it takes 4 cycles to dry something that should have dried...

while the dryer is running.go to the outside of the house and check the air flow, there should be a large amount air being blown out if there is not check the vent and ducting for lint build up and make sure the hose is not kinked.
when there is restricted air flow all the warm moist air will stay in side the dryer causing the clothes to take a long time to dry. i hope this helps you with your dryer

Slow drying time

very simple, do this test, take your vent hose off the back of your dryer, now dry a load of clothes, if it still takes a long time to dry, then you may need to replace your thermastats, if it works better, your vent hose was pushed in, or smashed or the vent from the wall to the outside is clogged.

thanks Whites appliance repair

Kenmore 600 dryer tumbling & heating, but not drying

Several reasonings. Step One make certain that you have 220 volts coming to your outlet. It takes 110 for the motor, and it takes 110 for the heating elements. If you have a volt meter that would be the best way to do that. Take the red and stick it in to the long part, and the black lead to the ground. Fuse houses was bad about this. Step Two it could be the elements are kicking off too soon. That is usually a sign of almost blown element. Step Three the heat sensor for the element prematurely kicking off the element.

Dryer is hot, clothes arnt getting dry. blower? less that 1 year old Kenmore

Remove the vent hose from the dryer and dry a load of clothes . If they dry , then dryer is pushed too far back , kinking vent hose , or the vent from the dryer to the outside is blocked somewhere . A dryer either heats or doesn't heat (except for maytag associated dryers ) in which the blower wheel could be stripped out . But Kenmores don't have blower problems .

My dryer is really hot when it is running, but is taking a really long time to dry the clothes

Make sure you check your exhaust hose. It shuld be clear of any lint , and properly exhausted to outside of the home . Try turning on the druer with no load and no heat , find your outside vent and check for air flow . If none is felt you suhld move your dryer away from wall ( if aplicable ) and disconnect the hose and check for any blockage , You can even try the above step with the vent hose disconnected to make sure that the dryer it self is properly venting ( feel for ALOT of air coming out of exhaust port ) . If only a miniscule amount of air ( or none at all ) is coming out of the back of the unit you may have to call a technician to come in and clear out the internal duct work .
