The LCD is probable broken. Maybe you drop your PSP. try to fix it by opening you PSP before you send it for repair. I will send you the repair guide From the system just remove and return back the conection wires to fix it. http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Repair/Installing-PSP-2000-Display/1270/1
The best solution to fix this problem is to update your psp firmware. Please let me know what is your current frimware.I'll let you know if there is any latest update available.
have you tried a different charger, if you have and this hasnt worked the battery inside your psp could of broken, if your still under warranty contact the people you bought it from and get it fixed, hope this helped, if you need more information and help just send me a message back, good luck
If your PSP is still under warranty, then bring it back to SONY.
If not, bring it to SONY for repairs, or to other Smaller Technicians' Company which are usually cheaper!
You can have the screen replaced by a company like the following place. They will repair YOUR PSP and send YOUR PSP back to you. Everything will still be there:
It seems that you have a bricked PSP it can be fixed with a pandoras battery, or if you have a warranty send it to Sony. Other than that there is no hope (unless you get a new mother board).
Well if that`s true that if a handheld is broken when dropped then I shouldn`t have any working handhelds. Well, if you still have the companies number you should call Sony and ask them.
someone might have messed with ur settings. if you go to the audio
options under settings, you will see that you can choose which side of
the psp you want the music to come from. i'm not sure if you can, but
somewhere there, you might have the sound settings set to neither, or
hit avls, which doesn't allow your psp to go to it's maximum volume.(i
am actually in the middly of a game demo, so if i exit to check, it
will lose everything on the demo.)
i have never had or heard of a problem like yours. my ideas for you are
probably not the answer, but it's worth checking out. maybe your psp
just messed up. try sending it back to the company and try to get a new
one, if you have had the psp for less than a year(1 year warranty) i
would say ur psp is probably messed on the inside tho http://www.us.playstation.com/Support/PSP/Hardware/s_psp_hs_SN.html
If it's under warranty send it back, if it's not then do this. Order a replacement power switch online, ebay is pretty good for psp parts. There's 5 screws holding the front cover of the PSP together two on the right that are recessed, you'll need a long skinny precision screwdriver , there's two more under the warranty stick behind the battery and one more in the middle of the silver metal piece. The power stick assembly is a separate board that plugs into the psp and a easy repair. Just be careful once you remove the faceplate one dust particle and you'll be taking it apart again to clean the inside of the screen.
