I have a front loading whirlpool duet washer and the door seal is damaged and water is leaking out at bottom of door. Is this easy to fix/

this is not a hard thing to fix just a little time consuming.there is a spring under the edge of the boot that needs to be removed,

Then you will need to remove the front panel,so that you can remove the other spring that holds it to the drum.

My whirlpool duet washer leaks. It is not the

The following link explains how to determine where a leak may be coming from in a Whirlpool Duet:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3576656-washer_leak__front_loader

In many cases, the rubber bellow (door seal) is the source of the leak and will need to be replaced. If the bellow is ripped or torn the following link explains step-by-step how to replace one:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3574186-installing_a_door_bellow_on_a_front_load

NOTE: THe bellow does wear out from time to time and will need to be replaced. However, using too much detergent, the wrong type of detergent, or loading the washer excessively can contribute to premature wear and tear and deterioration.

If you have any questions, or are having problems determining where the source of where your leak may be coming from , please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.

Leak

Hi, If you remove the lower half of the front panel, you will be able to see the pump and hoses. Another option is the bellows around the door. Please let me know if this helps or if I can assist you further.

Thank
Vic
