Uninstall All drivers and software for ati card. Take card out.Put card back in. Reboot pc.Reinstall drivers.I dont think the 128 mb cards Came with a fan.The 256mb did.

All the same,check your pc fans are working and clean.Also disable any onboard motherboard Graphics.You will need to do this in the bios.

Possible card was not seated right in agp slot,or drivers were corrupt.

The standard VGA adapter comes automatically with the OS. You can try one thing...Go to device manager, find the entry for the Radeon card, and delete it. Next, shut down the PC and then restart the machine. The OS will automatically find and install the appropriate driver.

Please download just the driver from HERE.
Don't install the Catalyst software. Your card should work with just the driver. Also make sure you have the latest version of DirectX.

BTW, which OS are you using? If you are using Vista, then you may find that this driver may not be compatible as it is for 2000/XP.

This package will only install the ATi CCC. I personally have found that the ATI CCC doesn't like older cards, but some people have had luck getting it to work. If it doesn't work, you'll either have to find an older Catalyst Control Center, such as the one bundled with the Catalyst 4.10, or go back to using an old version of ATi Catalyst Control Panel.

Well your card is still an ATI & things have changed a bit. You don't just need the drivers but you need ATI's Catalyst Control Center. Through the Catalyst Control Center you have a ton of control that you just don't get with drivers alone. Suggest you update windows first. You'll need .Net framework 2.0 min.
