Hello, I have a acer aspire 4315-2004 With Vista Home Basic. I'm having trouble getting my windows updates, I keep getting an error code #80070424, any thoughts? Also theres a 'add hardware' section that reads , "Install Legacy (non plug and play) hardware. I'm not sure what to do, Install or not? if I install, what type is it?

Please try the following:
Click Start >> Run >>
Type the follow command in the Open box.
"net.exe stop wuauserv" (w/o quotes)
Press Ok
Repeat the same for the following commands:
regsvr32.exe wuapi.dll
regsvr32.exe wups.dll
regsvr32.exe wuaueng.dll
regsvr32.exe wucltui.dll
regsvr32.exe MSXML3.dll
regsvr32.exe qmgr.dll
regsvr32.exe qmgrprxy.dll
net.exe start wuauserv
Restart the machine and try again.
Click Start >> Run >>
