Question about Whirlpool Ultimate Care II LSQ9549L Top Load Washer

1 Answer

Thanks!!! I have been online for close to an hour looking for a solution for my Whirlpool washer which didn't want to stay filled to wash my chef uniforms. I read an answer you gave for someone else, fidgeted with the hose and raised it above the water level and my chef coats are currently spinning away. Thanks so much! God, I love the world wide web. Have a great week. -Jennifer :)

My washing machine fills up with water but does not continue the wash cycle. Sometimes when you slam the lid the washer will continue the wash cycle to the end. Other times the washer stays filled up...

Sounds like the lid safety switch is either out of adjustment, or needs replacement.

Most washers will fill with the lid open, but no continue a cycle where the drum or agitator spin, unless it senses the lid is closed.

I have a Supra Front loaded washing machine "SW7B10FL" . It wash clothes perfectly but after completing a wash water start comming into machine and after 12 hours around 5 liter water filled...

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

The fault is symptomatic of a malfunctioning water control valve- the hot water one, if the washer is hot and cold fill, and the cold one if it is just cold fill. It is not closing correctly so it needs replacing.
However this Washer Forum does not supply service centre numbers, engineers, spares or prices; it is just made up of ordinary guys and gals, probably at home, from all over the world, with experience of addressing problems and giving guidance for free on the web ;-0)

Also members on Fixya are not 'affiliated' to, or representative of, any manufacturer at all, just using their experience gained probably over many years.

You will either have to search in your local telephone directories OR stay on line and search for '(make) washer service' for instance or '(make) washer spares' and hope that you can find someone reasonably local.
Sorry again ;-0(

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!
John C

My front loading washer always fills with water when i am not using it

It sounds like one of the automatic water fill valves in the machine is leaking water when washer is off and the valves are closed. There are two manual water supply valves at the wall behind the washer, one for hot water and one for cold. Close the manual hot water supply valve and allow the washer to sit and see if it fills with water. If it does fill, then the cold water automatic fill valve is leaking. If not, then open the hot water manual supply valve and close the cold water manual supply valve. Allow the washer to sit again and see if it fills. If it does then the hot water automatic fill valve is leaking. Replace the leaking valve in your washer. You can order the new valve online using washer brand and model number on a appliance parts web store, or maybe even find it at a local appliance parts store.

Long cycles on my whirlpool duet washer

it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem:

  • It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.

  • It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.

Water won't stay in washer ...

either the pump is broken or the drainhose is lose or too low.
There is also in this machine something called a drain protector. This might be faulty too and i think that would be the cheapest to see about that first
