Question about Whirlpool Calypso GVW9959K Top Load Washer
Need help! Try starting a load of chef whites for work tomorrow, water goes into washer but won't fill and stay. Just runs and runs. What is wrong with it and more importantly can I fix it? (Live in an apt. complex and maintance crew around here is lacking)
Don't see my washer listed below, it is a : 9.8 amp, 120 volt, 7 cycle, 2 speed combo, xtra large commercial quality washer with a porcelain basket. Model #: LXR7244PQ4 Serial #: CT25300027
Either the pump is broken or the drainhose is lose or too low.
There is also in this machine something called a drain protector. This might be faulty too and i think that would be the cheapest to see about that first

If the washer won't fill you'll need to check for the water
inlet hose, the water inlet valve and the pressure/water level switch assembly.
Inspect the inlet hose coming to the washer for any blockages. If the hose is
not clogged then check the water inlet valve for any clogs, if the water will
not even fill for few seconds then certainly the water inlet valve is bad and
should be replaced. You can also use a multimeter to check continuity on inlet
valve. If you don't get any value on the multimeter then you'll need to replace
the water inlet valve assembly. However, if the valve is fine then the
pressure/water level switch assembly should be replaced. Hope this helps...
