Does printer have 2 black cartridges, 1 large 1 small? if so, the small black one and colors only takes care of the color print jobs and the large black one, the main black and white jobs. Make sure you don't have an empty large black cartridge.

Hi,
Try this;
- Open the document you want to print- Go to file > Print- click properties in the print window- in the menu select 'Maintenance'- in the 'Maintenance' click 'Ink Cartridge Settings'- select Black Only- click OK- click OK- now you can print only using the black ink in the printer. Hope this helps. Please rate if this solution was helpful. thanks!
Use the CANON software on your computer to run some "printer maintenance", namely a few "print-head-cleaning" cycles, to try to unclog any blocked ink-jets that are _not_ shooting ink onto the paper.
You say all colours look blue? If this is true, does black look blue? If so then black is not printing at all so blue takes over. Did this machine print colours ok before you changed cyan? I would suspect that you are using compatable ink cartridges and they are suspect. check that all the cartridges are in the correct positions. Then run the cleaning cycle and see what happens. If the problem still persists then I would change the print head. The print head part number is QY6-0073-000.
Good luck
I had the same problem, after replacing both black cartridges. I solved the issue by running the print head cleaner. Below is the link to the instructions.

Very simple solution: When the pixma mp620 screen shows error U130, Hold down the stop (red triangle) key for about 7 - 10 seconds. This overrides/turns off the ink monitoring function. The printer will begin "thinking" for a bit and then start printing. Note: you may have to do this seperately for each color. You'll also notice that when the lid is open and the cartridges are in position for changing, the cartridges that used to be "out" are no longer flashing red, nor a stead red. They are dark.
