Try the first one, if it still doesn't work move on to
the next one and so on.

1) Make sure the monitor is plugged into the Graphics card
( not the VGA motherboard )

Control panel>Power Options>Power Schemes Dropdown Menu>Always On

3) download and reinstall monitor software from

4) Test an other monitor,
- if this one fails too, you're graphic card is probably broken
- if this one works, you're monitor settings are incorrect

Packard bell hera gl fan making loud noise

It may just need cleaning. If you feel confident taking it apart you can usually find info for disassembling on the internet, then check the fan for a build up of dust and give the insides a really good clean out. It's best to use compressed air.

I have a sony vaio vGC-LT25E one of the fan is making a loud noise, how to fix it and where i can find the parts.

If it is the power supply fan, typically at the top of the unit making the noise, it is not replaceable by most folks. You'll need a new power supply which are in the $40-75 range. Some private shops will replace the power supply if you buy it from them at no charge, but most big box stores will not. Depending on the brand they are easily replaced. Dell makes theirs unique and tough to replace without modifying the case. Don't know about Sony.
The other fans can be replaced and are fairly cheap. Open the case and determine which one is making the noise. Carefully remove it, take it to your computer repair shop, get a replacement and reinstall. Shouldn't take more than an hour total.
Hope this information will help.
Your response is very much appreciated. Thank you for using Fixya...

My PSP 1003 is making weird noises and not showing my game

This is a sign that the ps3 has become a heat issue.First power down the ps3.Then get a can of compressed air, sold at staples or any pc repair shop.
Blow out all dust and dirt from ps3.Pay close attention to cooling fans.It may be a good idea to remove cover and clean out internal fans and motherboard.
Once done wipe ps3 clean and reinstall it in a well vented area.
Try ps3 again.
If you still have no luck then the graphics chip may be fried. But check all your cables first.

My HP W1907 monitor works fine until I try to play The Sims 3 game. I play for several minutes or hours and the monitor shows the message that it is going to sleep and the light on the monitor goes...

Hi there. I had the same problem months ago when I try to play high end games like Sims 3 my monitor goes into power saving mode. I tried to check every possible causes of the problem. It could be that your computer is overheating try to clean your computer and check if your fans still works. Second it could me your power supply malfunctioning, maybe it does not meet the required power to make your game work. Last cause is your video card malfunctioning, what I did is to just buy a new video card and it works.
If you do not have spare power supply or video card you can go to a computer repair shop for them to check the possible problem that causes it to go into power saving mode. It can also save you money before you can buy a new one.
Hope this helps, Have a good day!

How to fix my computer PC so noisy

check the noise location.

It could be the internal fan or it could be the CD/DVD drive making noise.

You probably have to open the case/Tower to check what is causing the noise. If it is a fan make sure it is not obstructing with any wire and then close the tower carefully.

It could be the SMPS( switched mode power supply ) the power supply of the computer. SMPS is the box inside the tower where the power cable of the computer gets connected.

Try to check if that is making noise or not .. If it is get that replaced.

If it is a CD/DVD ??

check if the noise comes when the CD is in or it comes even if it is empty.

Both cases the CD/dvd drive needs repair.

Try the steps above and let me know if you have any other question.

My Hp DV6174CL laptop makes a fan grinding noise near the power button. this happened after a repair from Micromedics

The DV6000 units have a cooling fan located on the bottom of the case top left side.
If you hear a grinding noise, please do not use the unit.
Bring it back for repair. The blower is on-top of the CPU and if it does not recv. the correct cooling, it will take out the processor.
