Panasonic SC450 Install

Hi I bought this yesterday and tried to install it last night but can't get the speakers to go on the TV which is a 42 plasma. I Bought a HDMI cable which I plugged int TV and DVD as this is what the salesman advised.
The speakers work with a DVD but not with TV which you have to use AV1 or AV3 to view. What am I doing wrong or do I need another cable between TV and DVD Thanks The model is a SC-pt450gn-s which is not on your list

Yes You need a cable that runs from your cable box to the Home Theater System. If it is analog cable then you can use basic Audio Rca Cables from Best Buy. If You have a High Def box I would recommend using a Audio Fiber Optic cable from the box to the surround sound.

Hi. i cant get the menu screen on my panasonic sc-pt90. and it wont play thru my tv

First and most important thing is - Is it connected to your TV? If it is you might try a different lead. You haven't said if this is a reinstall or a new install. If it is a new install, you should take it back to where you bought it. If it is a Reinstall, then the most likely problems are :- cable or connectors. if a cable replacement doesn't fix it, you might try pluging it into a different connector on your TV. Also make sure you are trying to view it on the correct channel of your TV. Hope this helps.

How do I connect my 42" Vizio HD TV to my

You could just source the audio from whatever external source you're watching (BD,DVD, Cable, SAT) directly and digitally to the Panasonic. The TV doesn't need to be an active player in the audio chain. Some have NO audio capabilities at all yet we manage. Treat it as the end of the chain, not a link.

Try running the audio from each video source (NOT the TV, which is an output, not a source) to the HTR digitally so you'll get the best mutichannel sound possible. Then you can turn the TV speakers (assuming it has them) off for hi-end watching.

Panasonic Dvd Home Sound system SC-PT950 code f61

The F61 is the coded "protect mode" indication. The internal amp chip has failed. It sounds like this system should still be under warranty. Return it for warranty service. The amp chip will be replaced.

Sorry about hte delayed response. I was away in business for a few days.
