Replace the 1000UF caps on the DM power board( Far left side encased in metal when looking in the rear) the caps fail and thats what causes the issue in about 95% of the cases where the light blinks non stop

Well, this is how that set is supposed to work. After it is plugged in the LED should blink for 70 to 90 seconds. That is normal and is the amount of time it takes for the Digital Module to boot up. During 'boot up' time the set is inoperable. Once the LED stops the set should operate normally. If the blinking never stops there is a problem with the Digital Module. If the blinking does stop but the set wont come on there are other things you can do to narrow down why the set is not working.

I have a Mitsubishi Model WS-65511 the green light on the front was flahing (would not stop) I replaced the 7 Capacitors as was suggested. The light flashed for a while then stopped and turned green

I think I advised you before (on this page you will find a "make a comment button" which allows follow up questions and answers without posting another question.

Green power light now comes on and goes out in few seconds:

On front of set (not the remote) press and hold when that happens both the menu and input buttons for at least 5 seconds and release both.

Power light will blink a 2 digit code like 2 blinks, 2 blinks, pause and repeat that several times---this is an error code---let me know what code you find.

Note: if you have unplugged the set it clears the error codes and you have to plug back and try to turn set on--let it fail and repeat the self check.

The Bulb in the unit needs to be replaced. To confirm, look in the manual for the set and it will explain the flashing lights by the numer and duration of flashes. Hope this helps.

I have had my WS-65511 fail like this, first at 4 years, second 2 weeks later, then 3rd time yesterday (4/14/2009). In past, the tech replaced a thermal sensor p/n 299P313010A (but Mitsubishi says that part is not for WS-65511 and that it does not have a thermal sensor - go figure). It is a white rectangle with about 30 pins in 2 rows and is soldered onto a board in the TV. List price is about $25.

Green blinking light on Mitsubishi WS-55813 HDTV

generally this means a bad digital module.. as a techinican the first thing that we would check are what is know as standby voltages. if they were there we would replace digital module.! question. Does it blink for more than 70 seconds. This unit comes with a lockout feature. to unlock press and hold menu down for 10 seconds on front panel.
