I have bought several pairs of headphones for my gogear but they all sound like there is a problem with the connection only getting sound through one ear sometimes

The headphone socket in the GoGear is faulty. If you can hear sounds from both ear pieces when you wriggle the headphone plug in the GoGear, then the headphone socket in the GoGear is faulty. This fault can be easily fixed by removing the circuit board in the GoGear and resoldering the headphone socket to the circuit. You need a very fine tipped temperature soldering iron to do this job.

MUSIC HAS NO SOUND

If it's all music on the mp3 player, then try a different pair of headphones. If still no sound, try partially unplugging, plugging in the headphones and try wiggling the connector .If there is still no sound, then try erasing all the songs on it and restore the device. If that doesn't help, then it's probably time to replace the mp3 player since the headphone jack is damaged.

Only the right earbud works no matter what headphones i use i even bought a brand new pair and it didnt work.

sounds like your headphone jack has gone bad or has a bent pin you can look into it and see if you can fix it or you can try and replace the headphone jack yourself if you have some good sodering skills

Try a diffrent pair of earphones if that does not work the jack is shorted on the media player and needs to be serviced.

Unfortunately - that is a common problem with mp3 players - the headphone jack itself is damaged (check a 2nd set of headphones just to be sure). Philips does not sell the headphone jack by itself, so it looks like it's replacement time - I would call Philips and see how much it would cost to replace the whole player (won't be much more than 100$ even if out of warranty). If you wanted to try to work with the existing player, you could twist the headphones until you find a position where both sides work - then keep it in that place, and don't move around too much.

CANT GET SOUND OUT OF EARPHONES

Try different headphone set.
Make sure mute has not been selected (see manual for details).
If problem still persists, then the headphone jack is faulty - must replace entire player, since Philips does not repair/sell headphone jacks in Mp3 players.

Make sure the volume is turned up sufficiently. If it is, then get it exchanged if still in warranty.
