This system was working but I wanteed to put a new HD in it and a new PS because the PS cooling fan stopped working. After I took the PS out (then I waited a few days for the new PS to arrive). When I hooked the PS back up, the PS started working but I could get any video on the screen. I didn't get any beeps from the system and other than no video it didn't seem like there was anything wrong. I unplugged the new PS and put the old one back in but the results were the same. I have a feeling I have something connected wrong but everything looks OK. I downloaded the Users manual and they have no trouble shooting info. But I did check the MoBo connecters and it looks like they are all plugged in correctly. Do you have any idea as to what I might do or check>

SOURCE: MSI k8ngm2-h mobo doesn't recognize PCI-E slot anymore!

Just a suggestion for you to try.
This is to check whether your PCI-E card is ok or not.
The BIOS setting option should be on PCI Express.
Take out the power cable from the hard disk - we don't want to mess around with window driver or system that might be the culprit.
Now turn on the computer, if ok, you should see some texts on your screen. This is a confirmation that your PCI-E card is still working. So then for you to work on your windows to solve the problem. Good luck.

It sounds to me like you are right with the motherboard being bad, however, before you try that, try re-seating the memory. Also, try just putting 1 memory stick in. If you do both of those and still nothing, then I would definitely look into getting a new motherboard because that probably is your problem.

SOURCE: MSI K8N Neo4-F Motherboard power on but ,not post

At this point I would try another processor and if you still can't get video with another known good working processor then that means the motherboard is bad. Also check for puffy capacitors, that would cause the motherboard not to post as well. If all the capacitors has flat heads on them then the motherboard is still bad.

Remove everything except CPU and 1 stick of RAM. Attach monitor to onboard graphics and under Integrated Peripherals in BIOS there SHOULD be option for display, it needs to be set to PEG so it looks for a PCIe graphics card first. If you still get no picture, DOA motherboard.

it should run when the comp is on and the unit is calling for cooling, you most likely need a new fan for your unit.

Keeping your SA-DA8 cool

When I first bought this I noticed that it runs very hot even on low volume levels. I took it in for repair and told the tech that the fan didn't come on even when hot. He said "works as designed - the fan is output-power-driven, not temperature driven."

Wishing to prolong the life of ma SA-DA8, I used an old computer power supply and muffin fan. Plugged the PS into the controlled AC output of the amp, and the fan into the PS. Jumpered the "power-on" pins of the PS. Laid the fan on top of the amp, padded with some foam tape, and it now stays a lot cooler (and the fan is very quiet, though not silent.)

I have a HP PL4245N plasma HD TV. sometimes while watching it just shuts itself off screen goes black and will not turn back on unless I unplug it wait 20 seconds and plug back. Then it works fine. it...

Hello
I thinks you may be right. All plasma and LCD panel tVs will have cooling fans at the top side. Plasma screens will heat up much more, and if cooling fans stops work, of has damaged, the set will overheat, and awill automatically shut down; because there is a overheat sensor fitted inside it, will sense the heat, and if the set overheats, it will send a signal to the main system control fo the TV; which in turn shut down the whole system. look fans for proper working. If not replace them. OK.

Overheating

Sounds like a cooling fan are not turning on. Assuming you have an electric cooling fan. It could be something simple like a fuse or a relay which is stopping the fans from working, or it could be something as bad as the motor burning out on the fan.

1998 cavalier heats up when idleing. Fan comes on but still heats

Hello senior, whenever the coolant system is opened up there's a possibility you could get air in your system, only way to get it out is by using the bleeder valve, check the coolant temperature sensor it may not be working properly, it tell's the cooling fan when to kick on and off, the condition of the drive belt is also another factor, along with the tensioner and tensioner pulley. it sounds like a problem with the water pump, the cooling fan, or air in your cooling system, to get a good inspection of the water pump fin's you have to remove it.

Fans run at full speed under normal task.

THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE CPU AND MB AND PSU IS NOT COOLING OFF ENOUGH AND CAUSING THE FAN TO RUN ON HIGH ALL THE TIME, THE PSU MAY NOT HAVE ENOUGH WATTS POWER TO RUN THE CONFIGURATION TO KEEP THE SYSTEM AND HARDWARE TO COOL.

I READ IT IN ONE OF MY PC MAGAZINE, ANOTHER PERSON UPRADED SYSTEM, ADDED SOME OTHER STUFF BUT THE MB AND POWER SUPPLY UNIT DIDNT HAVE ENOUGH WATTS TO SUPPORT BASIC REQUIREMENTS OPERATING THE SYSTEM BASIC NEEDS.
FIND SOFTWARE THAT KEEPS EYE ON HEAT ISSUES, MB, VIDEO CARD, RAM, PS, CPU, CPU COOLERS, NIC CARDS, SOUND CARDS,
ETC.
EACH PART REQUIRES SO MUCH POWER
AND HERE HOW IT BRAKE DOWN FOR EACH COMPONET

MB 20-35+ WATTS
CD ROM 20-25 WATTS
DVD 30-45 WATTS
DISK DRIVE 5 WATTS
HD 5-15 WATTS
STANDARD VIDEO VARD 5-15 WATTS
MEMORY 5 WATTS PER MB

NEW SYSTEMS WITH THE FOLLOWING STUFF IN IT FLOPPY DRIVE,CD-ROM, MB, 16MB RAM, REQUIRES A MIN. 150 WATTS OF POWER.

BUT I KNOW YOU MAY HAVE TOP OF THE LINE VIDEO CARD WITH GGR4 WITH 512MB
MEMORY, 2-8 GIG OF RAM, 23 INCH LCD MONITOR, 2 500GB HD, BLUETOOTH AND WIRELESS NETORK, AND WIFI CAPABILITIES,
NEW DUAL CORE CPU TOP LINE MOTHERBOARD, COOLED VIDEO CARD,RAM COOLER ALSO AND THIS SYSTEM POWER WATTAGE REQUIREMENTS MAYBE SOME WHERE AROUND 400-600 WATT, AND MOST OF THAT IS FOR THE SYSTEM RAM AND THE VIDEO RAM YOU ARE RUNNING
REMEMBER 5 WATTS PER 1 MEGABYTE OF
RAM
IT WILL ADD UP FAST BOY'S AND GAL'S

ROD

PS I HOPE I DIDNT BORE ANYONE,
IT MAY SAVE YOUR SYSTEM FROM BURNING UP.
