Hi, we just purchased a Haier Genesis HLT364XXQ. We get the E4 error all the time. The manual is awful. We don't know what water level we're suppose to put for the loads. But no matter if we set the water level high or very low, the E4 error comes up. Water is entering the machine and both of the hot water and cold water valves are opened all the way. Our previous washer had no problems like this, connected to the same valves. I desperately want to just wash some laundry, can anyone help? My husband has leveled the washer with the "feet" and using a laser level. He's connected and reconnected the hoses to make sure there's no problem. We've tried medium size loads and small loads and various settings. I really don't want to have to try to contact the manufacturer on this.

Re: Brand new washer, E4 Error
OK this should not happen. It might be that the connectors to the watervalve is lose. E4 is a sign that the watervalves are closed. You should contact the store you bought it from and have them give you a replacement. Do not open it for now as it will void your warranty. You know it is not the pressure as the other never had this problem
This however is the link for all the parts you need. or might need. LINK
Have a good one and good luck changing this one out and please dont take no for an answer

Hi Lina, accordin to the Haier website, E4 stands for "water inlet problem. Water can not inlet or cannot reach the selected level in a proper time.". Unless the ingoing water pressure is really low, I think you need to service the machine. Anyway, hope this helps!
If the timer stopped advancing on one of my machines (laundromat owner) i'd assume it's the timer motor. Kind of like when a top loader has no final spin but otherwise runs okay i always suspect the timer mechanism. For me it's a simple check; exchange timers with a neighboring machine. You probably don't have that option. Unfortunately, I don't know the Haier Brand of machines so i could be wrong.
In my list Haier error 7 refers to 'motor overheat protection or is damaged'. Sorry ;-0(
Also for the future it might save you time if you had a manual if you have not already ;-0)
You will need to type into your search engine/web browser '(make model number) washer manual' and you should be presented with a number of sources from which you can either download for free or have to pay a nominal amount.
You could also try the manufacturer's web site direct ;-0)
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!
Error 12 means Drainage error, water not emptied within 4 minutes Solution: Clean the fi lter and check the drain hose for blockage. If error still exists, please contact the Haier maintenance personnel.
hey Paul, you don't have to wash anything in hot water. Hot water only wastes money and does nothing, in my opinion, to get anything cleaner. It does ,however set the stains. To kill any thing the water has to be 212 degrees [ boiling ]I have not used hot water for over 40 years and our clothes are coming out clean. Just set the machine on cold. I put a twoway spigot on my cold tap and put the hot water and cold water together incase someone breaks in and does my laundry. Barry
