    What won't load about it?
Do you have the CD drive set to boot up before the HDD in the BIOS?

Gps problem with panasonic toughbook

I recently had GPS problems on a series of
Panasonic Toughbook CF30's which all had
built-in GPS. The GPS had to be enabled in
the BIOS and when I tried to install drivers for
Windows 7 then I ran into problems.

In a pinch Vista 32-bit drivers can be used for
Windows 7 32-bit. Eventually since I needed the
GPS drivers to work I re-installed Windows XP
service pack 3 and no more problems.

Good Luck!

Cf30 no wireless device detected

On the Panasonic Toughbook Model CF30, there is
a Wireless Switch located on the front side of the
unit when the cover is open and the unit is facing you.
The switch is on the right side of the handle near the corner
of the unit. Please make sure that switch is turned on.
Then check the device manager under Windows to
see if the device shows up, even with a yellow question
mark or yellow exclamation point. If it shows up in yellow,
then you are simply missing the drivers.
If it does not show up at all, then your CF30 might be
like several of my units that I purchased recently.
My CF30's had both a built-in GPS and a built-in
Cellular Modem Interface but as a consequence no WiFi.
I simply added a small USB WiFi no larger than a
wireless Mouse Transceiver and the USB cover could
close over the mini USB WiFi. $30 cost, problem solved!
Good Luck!

Adjust brightness on laptop

On the Panasonic Toughbook CF30 you can change
the Brightness UP by pressing FN + F2 keys
simultaneously to increase brightness and to decrease it
hold FN and press F1 to lower brightness.
This assumes that you have the HOTKEY driver loaded
first, which enables these function keys.
Good Luck!

Factory restore

The following information comes from the Panasonic Website:

Recovery DVDs are available by mail for select Toughbook® products. Windows® XP back up service is only available to customers who purchased Panasonic computers with XP downgrade rights. Windows XP Backup Image and Windows 7 Recovery DVDs restore a PC to its original factory image. The standard Panasonic factory image includes the Windows operating system and all drivers/applications originally installed by Panasonic.

Most 2011 models of Panasonic Toughbook computers now have a Recovery partition on the hard drive instead of a Recovery DVD included in the laptop box. The only exceptions are the Toughbook F9, H2 and U1 Ultra which will continue to ship with a Windows 7 Recovery DVD. Besides restoring the computer to its original factory image, the Recovery Partition can also be used to load 64-bit Windows 7 Professional (32-bit ships by default from Panasonic).

You can order the Recovery Disks here:

Panasonic Toughbook won't load Windows XP CD

You can check to see if the hard drive is dislodged, but other than that I don't know what to tell you. If you know the drive is functioning correctly then your motherboard is probably dead.

Panasonic CF 52 Toughbook Windows XP install

If you choose to install Windows XP on the Panasonic CF52,
then please either order the original recovers DVD directly
from Panasonic, or if you wish to re-install from scratch yourself,
please use Windows XP SP3 (service pack 3) and NOT SP2.

You will find the drivers here:

Official Support Download Center of the Drivers Manuals and FAQs TOUGHBOOK...

You can even re-install with this XP SP3 CD:

xpsp3-am4myvti2hob3hzqvrjwo1hl-4-0_0.jpg Just make sure to use your Windows XP COA license located
on the back of the Panasonic Toughbook which looks like this below

Cant run Toughbook on Xp for some reason

It could be your HDD or DVD drive problem.

Try low level format your HDD and re-install XP again.

If it still problem come again then try clean the laser unit of the DVD drive or replaced another one if you can.
