Question about Sharp Aquos LC-46D62U 46 in. LCD HDTV
I have a 37" Aquos and the TV will not turn on. I had a tech look at it and said he did not know what could be causing the issue. I read some forums and decided to try to self-solve. I replaced the power board and the control board and did not repair the issue. I reboot the TV and prior to the clicking and shutdown the "K" is visible. So, this tells me that that backlight is working. What else could it be?
You should contact Sharp to find out where you can send the set for factory service for your area. They work by territories. The local repair tech would not normaly be trained and equiped to service this type of set.
The fault can be on a number of boards, including the main processor, or the matrix drive, or right on the backplane of the screen. The boards interact with each other and talk to each other using their own processors and a data buss. The backplane of the screen is using enbeded technology for the LCD drive itself.
Trying boards on a guess will end up being much more costly than sending the set out and having it proberly serviced. Also, at home you would not be able to perform any of the factory level adjustments if necessary.
