Our whirlpool wfs1285aw doesn't seem to be spinning and drying out clothes enough when Finished. The clothes are still drenched. Any ideas how to rectify this? Is there a filter that needs cleaning?

the rinse section spins slow while the rinsing is in process as this does 2 things
spreads the water through the clothes for a proper rinse
spins slow to equalize the cloths around the bowl
when the rinse cycle is finished and the tap is shut off it goes into a high speed spin
Your problem sounds like the program is not going to the high speed spin cycle and that would indicate a problem board
call a technician for a proper diagnosis and quote

Fisher paykel aqua smart clothes washer too many suds

You have a bad sensor, it is out of tolerance and giving you a false reading. If you have the paper work on it look and see if it has anything on the 'suds' indicator or go to the factory web site. A lot of times you will find others have had the problem and you will be able to find the solution there. If not go straight into the factory site and try to get a factory technician to tell you what to do. You can buy a new washer for what a service tech will charge you to come out now days. If you can't find any answers get back with me and I will research it from my end and try to give you exact instructions myself.

Why whirlpool duet washer

There are a number of causes for a SUD error. The most common is using non-HE detergent or just too much detergent. Try taking the clothes out and running the washer empty. (Do not add detergent.) When the tub doesn't have any suds, retry with a small load and very small amount of HE detergent.
The next issue is clogged drain hose/pump filters. Take the drain hose off the back of the washer and clean any debris with Q-tips or similar until you see the filter screen. The pump filter is sometimes called a coin catcher. You'll need to carefully check that. Take a small bucket or bowl to catch the water when you disconnect the hose from the tub to the pump.
The final cause is a leak either at the detergent "box" or in the tub or a bad sensor claiming there is such a leak. If the unit is detecting suds outside of the tub, you will need to call for repair. Depending on the age of the washer, this may be covered under warranty.

I hope this helps.

My front load washer won't spin fast anymore, any solutions out there?

A leading cause of clothing coming out very wet(not spinning on high speed) is over sudding (too much detergent being used) to see if that is the case start the washer without clothes and see if there is build up of suds (there should be NONE) to clean over sudding run a cold water wash and add a cup of white vinagar that will clean the build up of suds

Clothes not clean after washing

Were the settings appropriate for the clothing?
The settings on the machine should be set properly for the load. Different fabric types require different wash/rinse temperatures, spin speeds, and wash times. Always follow the instructions printed on the fabric care label. The soil level needs to be set in accordance with the load type. Heavily soiled clothing will not come clean with a light soil level setting.
Was the proper detergent used?
If too much detergent is used, or non-HE detergent is used, the machine will not wash properly. Too many suds present during a wash decreases tumbling action and will not rinse out well. Furthermore, detergent residue built up in the machine over time will deposit extra detergent on clothes and deposit soil back into clothing.

Was the washer overloaded? If the machine is overloaded, the machine will not wash and rinse properly. When the washer is overloaded, the clothes have no room to tumble, and the cleaning performance of the washer is reduced. In addition, when the clothes are packed tightly inside the drum the detergent and water will not distribute evenly throughout the items.

Front loaders require regular maintenance to ensure optimum performance. If this maintenance is not followed, residue can accumulate in the drum resulting in detergent and soil being deposited back into clothing. This can also lead to odor and other issues. Perform the required maintenance regularly (once or twice a month).

SD code and washer leaking

Sd excessive suds are detected by the washer during the drain or spin phases of the cycle.
The washer will stop and fill with water and then wait for 5 minutes to allow the suds eliminated so that the washer cycle can continue, After the suds dissipate, you can normally drain the washer and spin out the clothes using a RINSE/DRAIN & SPIN cycle. Make sure that you are using HE (High Efficiency) detergent in the appropriate amounts to prevent excessive suds in the washer. This should prevent the washer from going into this routine.
  1. Also check your drain hose for a kink or clog. Check the washer house drain for a clog or restriction. Test the washer to see if it will drain properly.
you can clean with affresh or vingar..let me know..

Duet Washer will not spin water out

Hello, The most common cause of the 'sud' alarm is too much detergent, or the detergent that is being used is creating too much suds. It works and alarms off of the motor current draw. The causes and cures listed below are pretty much in order of their commonality; try the first item before the second one, etc. If you can pin the fault on the detergent, try using the least amount of detergent that you can while still getting your clothes clean. With a HE washer, more isn't always better. Read on:

The motor control unit senses a suds lock condition by analyzing the current draw on the drive motor. If “Sud” is displayed a potential suds lock is detected. This may signify a bad pump, an extra heavy load, excessive detergent, or excessive suds.

Potential Causes

• If too much detergent was used, run the unit through a Rinse/ Spin cycle then a Normal cycle without adding any detergent. This should clear the unit of the excess detergent.
• Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked
• Check / Clean Drain Pump Filter of foreign objects
• Check Drain Pump
• Check Wire Harness connections to the Drain Pump, Pressure Switch, and Central Control Unit (CCU)
• Check the Pressure Switch
• Check CCU

Replace failed component.

Hope that this helps. Try the empty loads first to clear the detergent. This is the easiest fix.
Best regards, --W/D--

GE Front Loading Washing Machine seems to be holding water....

The high speed spin of a front load washer should normally do a good job of getting squeezing out the water but if there is an oversudsing condition that makes it hard for the drain pump to operate then the suds and water will just stay there. First make sure there is no actual clog in the drain line then run a load with no soap or detergent and see what happens. It's always better to use a low suds detergent with this type of machine
