Assume its not plug in play at all. You might need to google for the driver and most likely buy it if its not on the manufactures website. If you used the SW disk to load the drivers first, uninstall those under Computer Devices. reboot the replug in monitor it should recognize as a universal plug and play monitor.
Download the drivers from the Acer WEB site.Make sure you select the model of your laptop and the XP or Vista version ofthe drivers you that require and it matches the Windows version that isinstalled on your laptop. Click "Audio" & download the sound drivers.
Since this motherboard does not have built-in VGA, then you will need to find out the make & model of your VGA card in order to be able to find the appropriate driver.
