Deleting all text messages

I've got 100's of text messages on my Pantech Duo, but can't seem to figure out how to delete them without going in and deleting each message one at a time. There's got to be a way to delete them all at once?

This is from Rachfrito again. In regrds to the problem with deleting the texts; I have to actually take my battery out (not turn the phone off), to restart my Pantech Duo. After it freezes while trying to delete the texts, this is the only way for me to restart my phone.

I have the same problem, and I tried everything short of a hard reboot. I have god knows how many texts now that I can't get rid of (probably over 2000). I deleted them, and when I brought back probably an additional 2000 texts by going back to May.

I can't send out or receive any texts.

With this phone, you have as it was said go into the folders hit menu on the highlighted folder and then delete. It may seem as though it freezes, but it really doesnt, it takes a LONG time to delete messages, so just hit the button, go do something, and come has taken me like 5 minutes before to delete messages...

Hope this helps

What you do: go to your text messaging screen. click menu, then folders. put your cursor on the folder you want to delete all the messages from (most likely inbox) and there you have it.

have you tried
From your text message screen click MENU then FOLDERS. Highlight the folder you want and click MENU then DELETE ALL to remove even ones saved to the SIM or CLEAR MESSAGES to delete just ones stored on the phone.
also a manual can be download for futher refference if needed .

Pantech duo keeps locking up

I have had a pantech for a while and have had similar problems. It is not a permanent solution, but this will do a bit of help. DO NOT FORGET that when deleting messages, you have to go to menu then tools and "empty deleted messages". For a short fix, and sometimes a long while, simply take out the battery, take out the SIM card, and blow out the little connection. Blow off the SIM card and battery and put everything back.

The only way i found to fix this problem is to do a hard reset.

In your phone select start > settings > security > master clear

there is a password required to perform this operation: the default is 0-0-0-0 (zero, zero, zero, zero).

first step: change settings so it doesnt save the sent msg's
