I have owned an 18" Thermador "Freedom Tower" freezer with in-the-door ice & water dispenser for 3 years.
There has been an increasingly persistent "buzzing" or "humming" which seems to be related to the small fan which is located at the bottom of the door dispenser (at the rear of the door) inside the freezer. When I unscrew the plastic guard plate and let the fan drop out of its enclosure there is NO noise with the fan running (having defeated the door open switch).
I have 2 questions:
1. I'm not sure which direction the fan should be positioned in the enclosure. Should the fan be blowing freezer air INTO the dispenser or FROM the dispenser into the freezer cavity (I forgot to take note of this before I initially removed the fan).
2. Is there any way to quiet this vibration? Although not terribly loud, it is at a frequency which causes it to be heard throughout the house.
Thanks!
FYI, I called thermador customer support and they had a technician come out and replace the fan on the door. I don't notice the buzz anymore.FYI, I called thermador customer support and they had a technician come out and replace the fan on the door. I don't notice the buzz anymore.

thermodynamics: pressure differential when warm air cools causing a difference in pressure. after closing a freezer wait until the pressure equalizes usually within 10-15 seconds then reopen the freezer. as far as the gurgling this is normal. it is the drain tube usually a J type tube that prevents warm air from returning into the freezer.

No solution but just a warning. We had this same thing happen. They sent a repairman to replace the control board. Then did it again. Just before Christmas, the WATER started dispensing by itself. Luckily, I was nearby and heard it or the damage would have been extensive from flooding. They are now 'working on' getting a response from Thermador. I feel like this thing is just a homeowners claim waiting to happen.
I have a LG GRP207TUJA side by side freezer, which has a water, ice, crushed ice dispenser. There is a button to select which mode of dispenser. The freezer just appears to be cycling through all the selections all by itself and make the bleeping noise as it moves from one selection to another...any ideas
Sounds like you may have a couple of problems here. The frost build up could be from a bad door seal. Moist air can be drawn in and collect on the inside. As for the water temp, it sounds like the water line connected to the refrigerator could be tapped off a hot water line. It needs to be connected to a potible cold water line.
Water frozen in the freezer supply line - you need to thaw out the freezer. About six hours, door open, turn freezer OFF. You'll need a cooler with dry ice for your frozen food. 99% certain it'll work after that.
Sounds like a water valve problem to me. Force the ice maker to cycle. (turn it off and let it get cold for at least an hour then turn it back on). Test for voltage on the ice maker side of the valve. The valve is usually in the back near the floor. Just follow the water line. Another solution. switch the wires on the water valve. then try the water dispenser and see if it makes the ice maker fill up. See if when the ice maker cycles water comes out the door. If the ice maker causes water in the door , replace the valve, If door switch causes ice maker to fill up replace ice maker again.
I assume you mean do not work? I have the freedom 18" with through the door ice water. Themador has replaced the whole unit already. The second stoped woking after six weeks, call is in to repair again......
