Check the point at which the spark makes contact with the burner head. You may have to reposition the spark igniter, be careful not to brake it.

Does the 2652 constantly burn LPG when in gas mode. For some reason (probably told so erroneously?) I was under the impression that the fridge automatically switches off and on the LPG flow/ignited as it...

The RM2652 should shut down when the fridge reaches proper temperature. So yes the flame should go out when operating on propane. If the refrigerator does not get cold enough, then the flame will not ever shut down. It is posible that you may require a replacement cooling unit. WEB SITE: ArctiCold Refrigeration We keep it cold

The electrode that ignites the burner, also senses flame to keep burner going. Sounds like it's defective. I'd replace it, but take old one with you to match it up.

Gas igniter not working on small electrolux 3 way frig. any suggestions please

Sounds like you did your homework ... this is my last thought ... has this problem gone on long enough that the air has been bled out of the gas line going to the frig and is the little valve on the burner in fact open and is the power to the valve on and connected so gas can get out when the frige wants to ignite? Check your fuses on the control board at the back of the frig.

I can not get the gas to ignite on this fridge. Sometimes I will see a flame in the spy glass inside the fridge but nothing appears to happen after that. By the way as I do not have a instruction manual,...

You should find one button which you can push in or on some models it is a spring loaded turning action. Then there is a second button which when pushed you will hear a click sound. this is an ignitor and makes a spark at the burner area. Ok, the first button should be pushed or turned and held in place for a count of five this is to allow the gas to reach from the cylinder to the burner. You can then repeat press the igniter button to make a spark. Check in sightglass to see if flame is burning. Do not release the gas button for at least a count of ten. This is to heat up a small wire thermocouple. It is a safety device at the burner which glows red and keeps the flame burning and the gas flowing. Should the flame be blown out by wind, the wire will cool and the thermocouple will shut off gas flow. So to summarize, the gas button is a bypass to allow temporary flow of gas to the burner until the igniter is pressed. Hope this helps, rate me.

I have dometic modle R M 2333. It will not cool when set to gas. But is ok on AC. Burner flame is good, gas flow is good.

If the unit has a good flame and is staying lit throughout the cycle of the fridge, then you probably have a bad cooling unit. Does is cool ok on Electric? If so, then there is another problem. You may have rust build up in the flue that is not allowing the heat from the gas to work correctly. Try taking a screwdriver and small claw hammer. Remove the cover from the burner assembly and place the head of the screwdriver on the flue just above the burner. Tap the screwdriver lightly with the hammer and see if rust falls. If so, continue to do this until it stops. You then need to blow out the burner and try the fridge again.

Hope this helps,

Jeff

Dometic RM2193 Works on 120V, but not on gaz. I succeded in cleaning the burner jet and I get a flame. It ligth well now but the flame very small. The frig doesn't cool. Help ?

These fridges require that the control switches be in the correct position for the power source you want to use. If you try to operate the fridge on gas and have the electric 120V-AC switch on, all you'll get is the gas pilot light to stay lit. Also, when running on gas, the electric has to be off.

Here's a link to the manual for your unit. Print a copy and save an electronic one for future use, in case you lose your printout.

Hope having the manual helps you to get the fridge working on all the power sources you need! Best regards!

Dometic rm 2612. Shuts down on gas.

Ron;
Check the burner assembly. 1 screw, remove the sheet metal cover and clean it. The burner collects rust. This is the likely. Other issues would be the gas pressure usually checked with a manometer. Should 11" of water column. If your furnace works good then the gas pressure is probably ok. Also could have a faulty ignitor which sends a miliamp signal back to the circuit board. Check the burner first, after that leave the cover off and turn the fridge on. Watch the ingnitor attempt to lite the burner. Be sure the spark is going to the burner and not shorting out on the sheet metal it is mounted in. If it is shorting to the frame the ignitor needs replacing.

If it doesn't click or the light doesn't flicker it is probably either you don't have good strong 12 volt power getting to the fridge(12 volt required only to light on gas the first time) or else the little gas igniter module went out looks like this only sometimes black.

Now if it won't stay lit. It is something wrong with either your flame or your thermocouple. First try just blowing out the the flu right where the flame comes out blow compressed air in so if there is dirt or cobweb in there it comes out the back side. If that doesn't help disconnect your thermocouple and wipe the end and then connect it back up and tighten it. If it still wont stay lit still replace the thermocouple.

Gas fridge for boat

What you are referring to as the flame failure device and there is a spark? On gas refrigerators there is generally a thermocouple safety device. This thermocouple shuts off the gas if it does not receive heat from the flame to generate the millivolt current to hold the gas safety valve open. If this thermocouple is bad it will allow the flame to be lit but it will go out as soon as you manually release the depressor that opens the valve. Your supply pressure is in range. If you have to much primary air you will get a flame lift of from the burner. To little primary air and you will have a dirty and lazy flame.
