La Spaziale The thermal breaker has died in my La Spaziale in my coffee shop in the Himalayas. Following a putrid burnt smell, i opened the electric 'box' and found that 2 of my heat fuses blew. Now, im back in the States, and even after contacting La Spaziale's U.S. repair center, I can not find replacement heat fuses. Any thoughts?? Thanks,

You should search for compatable termal fuses, it is not obligatory to buy them from the producers shop. look at fuse's data and name google it. you will find them near you in some electronic shop where you dont expect.

What might stop electrical slow?

Hello, Vickie
Your machine does not turn on AND you have (or had) calcium deposits in the reservoir valve so, my best guess is:
First the calcium deposits blocked water from going into the heating unit.
Then, the heating unit over-heated and the thermal fuse opened to prevent a fire.
So, you may have to replace the thermal fuse.

This will require disassembly to access the water heating module, locating of the thermal fuse, reading the fuse information from the spent fuse, locating a source for a replacement fuse...etc. Thermal fuses cost about $2 at electronic supply outlets.

I have had the machine for two years and it just died. None of the dials or toggle switches work, the digital clock display is dead, the coffee maker will not receive power. I have tried different...

The thermal fuse is probably open, it is usually welded to the heating element and tied into the on/off switch, and usually involves the replacement of the bottom section. The thermal fuse prevents the coffee machine from over heating.

Doesn't turn on after smoke comming from pwr switch

More than likly you thermal fuse is burnt out( top left side of the boiler under the small clamp). But something caused it to smoke and melt, like the element shorted.

Loud pop, now circut breaker flips off when I turn on the machine

A loud pop can be a couple of things. Usually it is a ruptured hose, or a hose the has separated from its keeper.. This can explain why it is you are popping the circuit breaker. Water is spraying on an electrical circuit, and causing the short. The other thing that pops is when you blow the circuit board but then you would have a burnt smell.

This is caused by one of three things - either your limit high limit thermostat is gone, your thermostat is sticky, or your element died. Try turning your thermostat up or down a little bit. if your thermostat is stuck, this will usually start it again. Look for any burnt wires as well, because sometimes they will burn off of a contact.

I think the circuit breaker inside the machine is tripped. Am I able to reset it myself?

I have a Saeco Italia, and it died one day. NO lights, no sign of life. It has two thermal fuses inside, I had blown one. Replaced it from Cerito Coffee in NYC and worked fine- untill next problem. the Italia has fuses, no circuit breaker as far as I know.
