Question about Computers & Internet
My laptop's display has suddenly decided to put a black border around the viewable area and shrunk everything to fit in the middle. The resolution and everything seems to be okay under Control Panel and everything is in the correct proportions, but really small. I've tried upping the resolution and the actual hardware is working. I got the background to fill the whole screen but taskbar and icons were still small. I've tried a System Restore but that changed nothing.
Your system might have damaged the systems video drivers and reverted to legacy.
try to re-install the display drivers again.
if you look in the system/device manager for the display it may just say vga , which can only give you 800x600 native mode.
if you right click on the desktop /properties
advanced /display adapter it should have the name of your video card.
