Because I don't know your system model number I can only suggest 2 things.
1. Go to the manufactures website for your pc Go to the support section. Then to the driver section. You will then be prompted to select you pc model. Then it will take you to a selection of drivers for your pc. Select and download the driver for your audio.
2. Assuming your running windows, you can go to microsoft.com and go to the Microsoft Update section which will scan your computer and will hopefully install the missing audio driver.

Hope this helps,
Harrisyw

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How do i install sound to my labtop

Hi..

You will need a software called audio driver for installing your sound card . Audio driver will tell the OS to use sound card on specified address and configurations.

You can find this sound card driver (Audio Driver) in your "Driver disc" bundled with your laptop.
Or you can find your driver from internet. Your Motherboard drivers can be downloaded from this site.
  1. On this site select your operating System .
  2. Then select Drivers.
  3. Then select Audio(Sound )Driver

Most probably your motherboard has sound card based on RealTek Technology. Then you can find corresponding drivers here

Hope this will solve your problem

Sound driver

First, make sure your speakers are on, the volume is up, plugged into the correct port on the computer and the sound setting in you computer's operating system is not muted. If that doesn't work probably do need a driver.

If the sound port is on the motherboard go to your MB manufacturer's website and locate the sound or audio driver that matches your MB and operating system. The MB ports are usually grouped together so the sound port would be near the keyboard, mouse and USB ports.

If the sound port is on an add-on card (PCI /PCI-E) then go to the card maker's website and locate the sound or audio driver that matches your MB and operating system.

I hope this helps. Good luck!

Sound problem

I would first check the driver for your sound card. From the start button, go to control panel, then performance and maintanance, then system, finally device manager. Scroll down, listed is all the hardware installed on your system. Are there any yellow question marks to the left of any listed devices, especially having to do with audio systems? If there are click on the device, go to properties and then to update drivers. If your sound was operating earlier the drivers should be on your system files and update as needed.Depending on how up to date you are on your windows updates, you may also have an option to search the internet for drivers. Another option is to install a free software program, AIDA 32. After installation it lists all system hardware and even gives links to download drivers.I have at times had to use the option of choosing which driver to install in the previously mentioned device manager, but this is a trial and error meathod and I only use it as a last resort.

Seems windows lost your drivers or another software package broke the drivers. Have you tried to re-install the drivers?
