I work for a company and we have bought about 25 Hoover upright vacuums since November of 2008 from HD supply and we are to refer to Hoover for manufacturer’s warranty. We have a vacuum that needs a bag replaced under warranty.
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
I would say you need to call the Hoover manufacturer and they would direct you to a local factory authorized vacuum dealer for the bag replacement – typically the bags and belts are considered wear items and are not covered under the factory warranty but I feel that it is still worth a phone call to see if Hoover Co will replace the bag for you. It will be up to the Hoover Factory Service Center, Question…. Is it for household use or commercial use?
