Frozen Display

The display is frozen on the setup time to defrost mode. Now none of the input buttons function. At one point the unit began "beeping" on its own with random numbers appearing on the display (the numbers were 6666, weird). This random beeping only lasted about 15 seconds or so. I unplugged the unit hoping that it would reset but no such luck.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Never realized how we really need a darn microwave!

It may be that the internal firmware has become corrupt, or there is a fault on the main processor board, or with some other area that is effecting the system processor, and thus the system is not able to function properly.

Call the service rep for your microwave oven and bring it in for an estimate.
