MY SIM CARD IS REQUESTING FOR PUK AND I DONT KNOW THE PUK'WHWT SHOULD I DO?

to my knowledge, this cannot happen without someone actually locking the sim, so you may want to contact your employer, but just in case your employer doesn't know whats happening,
here are instructions to find your puk code for att, if you have a different carrier, contact their customer support for further instruction

Obtain a PUK Code

Instructions: When the error message "ENTER PUK CODE" is shown on the screen of the device:

1. Log into myAT&T.
2. Select Wireless from the myAT&T tab at the top of the page.
3. Select Phone/Device.
4. Click Unblock SIM Card.
5. A new page will open, containing the PUK code for your phone. Enter the code on your phone's screen to unblock the SIM and create a new PIN.

Unblock SIM Card

1. Enter the eight-digit PUK code on the phone, then press OK/Yes.
   Note: Some Motorola phone users need to enter **05* if "enter PUK" is not already displayed. After entering **05*, enter the eight-digit PUK code and press OK.
2. Select a new PIN code, then press OK/Yes.
3. Re-enter the PIN code, then press OK/Yes.
4. If the codes were entered successfully, the phone is ready for use.

If the incorrect PUK code is entered 10 times in a row, the SIM card becomes permanently locked and a new SIM card must be purchased. If the device is requesting PUK2, call Customer Care at 800-331-0500.

Its not the phone, but the sim that requires a PUK code. If you check your original sim starter pack, you would see your PUK code printed on it. I want you to know that its quite different fron the four digit pin code. Enter this puk code to unlock your sim. But if you cant find your starter pack, then I want to believe you know the number of you customer care, you could ask one or two people if you dont. Then, when you know the number, use some one else's line, but of your same network, perhaps a friend's, and call the customer care agents. Tell them your sim is requesting a PUK code which you dont have access to. Give them your phone number, and they should sort out the rest for you.

• This is a usual problem which occurs when an incorrect code is entered multiple times , when the phone is requesting for a PUK code,and eventtually the SIM card getls blocked after multiple incorrect codes or gets rejected.
  
• May people are not aware from where can they get this PUK code,
• The PUK code is provided by the SIM card's service provider , for instance , if your SIM card belongs to vodafone , then you need to call up vodafone customer service or helpline number and they will give you the PUk code after a usual ID check.
• I would also like to inform you that people usually ask for a PUK code when their SIM card is locked and it's requesting a PUK code so they use their friend's cell phone to call up the customer care asking for help , however you can get the PUK code on the very day when you bring a new SIM card by asking the relevant executive in the service provider's gallery or calling up customer care.
• Now all you need to do is get a new sim card , and ask for the PUK code to the service provider so that you can keep it stored to avoid future mishaps.

PUK stands for Personal Unblocking Key. This is a uniqueeight-digit code specific to your SIM card. This is required when the PINnumber to unlock your mobile phone is entered incorrectly 3 times. You are thengiven 10 attempts to enter your PUK code. If an incorrect PUK code is enteredafter the 10th attempt, you will block your SIM card permanently and willrequire a new SIM card from your mobile phone provider.
PUK codes can be obtained through the following ways - The PUK code is in your SIM card documentation Starter Pack.If you do not have this then -Please contact your phone service provider.
Your cell phone service provider can give you the PUK code once you give themyour account details and they have confirmed your identity.

Hi, the PUK code is the security code for the sim card and not the phone, now when you first got the sim card you would have been given the PUK code written on the card the sim card was attatched 2, now im taking it you no longer have this.

if you no longer have this then the only place you can get this code from is your service provider, all you need to do is give them a call and give them either the phone number for that sim card or the sim card number which is writted on the back of the sim card. once you give them this they will be able to give you the code for free over the phone.

please dont try guessing the code as this is upto 11 digits long and is totally random

how ever you do have another option open to you, if you dont need to use that sim card you can go out and get another new sim card and this will come with the PUK code should your phone ever ask for it when you put the new sim card in the phone.

the only place that holds the PUK code is either the card the sim card was stuck to when it was new or the only other place is your service provider, give them a call and they will give you this code for free over the phone.

Hi the PUK code is the security code for the sim card and not any code to do with the phone, all you need to do to get the PUK code is call your service provider.
your service provider wont charge for giving you the code as the code belongs to you, all you need to tell them is your phone number or if you dont know that then the number printed on the sim card, they will then provide you with the 10digit PUK code for free over the phone.
this will then allow you to access the sim card.

The only place you can get the PUK code from is your service provider as their is no where else that keeps these codes, if you still have the card the sim card was attatched to then it will be written on their but if you no longer have this then the only way your going to get the code is by calling your service provider, they wont charge you for this as the code belongs to you,

you do have another option open to you though, if you dont need that sim card then you can go out and get another sim card and when you get given a new sim card you will get given the unique PUK code it will be written on the card the sim card is attatched to.

The Puk number depends on the pin lock on the sim, the phone will still work with a different Sim card.

To unlock the Puk code you need to call the contact number for the service provider for your Sim. Alternatively you can unlock the PUK code at a local shop for a small fee, £10 or £20 in UK.

To unlock PUK, call the company that branded your Sim card.


use google to find contact number for your sim card fone company in your area. That is the only way to unlock PUK for free, and it always work.
