Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

Hello HP, My daughter purchased a HP 7670 computer from PC World in Feb 07. it had to be exchanged a week later as it was defective. No problems since...until the wireless mouse gave up the ghost this week. The transponder it uses enables the keyboard to be used (that is working ok) PC World agreed that the mouse is not working. My daughter has purchased a new mouse that now works. However, it is not satisfactory that an integral part of an expensive computer packs up just outside the warranty period. As there does not appear to be any Customer Service information available on the website or paperwork please can you either pass this onto the relevant department or provide us with a name of a person or department we can complain formally to?

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Should I return my HP 500-214 due to squeaking?

No, not all new computers make this squeaking sound. It may be a defect of one of the internal components of the machine, and it may be present in all of those same models. You could try to replace it one more time, and then talk to Best Buy about using the gift card to buy a different computer model.

Hello,

You would need to purchase a wireless adaptor to add to your daughter's pc. Once installed alone with the drivers/software, you should have no problem getting her connected wireless.

Login freeze-up HP Pavilion Media Center m8530f PC

First of all, dont go with a name brand and you wont have to deal with the company BS. you can build (or have built) a better computer from someone like tigerdirectdotcom and save a couple hundred dollars. granted you will have to buy an operating system for it , but you will want a system disk to reinstall the next time it crashes. Remember.. it's not IF your computer will crash , it's WHEN. I would be happy to recommend some parts or at least a barebone starter box if you tell me what you want to use the computer for..no reason for overkill..

Having trouble installing HP Photosmart All in One Printer. Model C5280. Near the end of installation it ask's for printer to be connected via USB cable. Msg comes up on screen 'USB Device not recognized'...

Dear Sir:

It seems that the printer has gone bad because when you get this message 'USB Device not recognized' it means that the usb device connected to the computer is defective however I would suggest you to connect this device to another computer and if you are getting the same error with the other computer.

Please contact hp support they should be able to help you with this.

Please feel free to get back to me If you need any further assistance.

Purchased HP 11-17-07, not one day of trouble free use, no one able to get this resolved???? Can I return this for full refund????? I'm elderly, have a hearing problem which makes working with tech...

Hello goodies2,

If your machine is under warranty, you should be able to get a free replacement. Just take it back to the point of purchase and get a replacement. Alternatively, you could call the HP customer service line at THIS link.

However, if your warranty has run out, then I'm afraid you will not be able to replace it or get a refund. But if you could describe the problem here, we would be glad to help.

Cheers,

Just bought daughter Fujitsu laptop with Vista Premium and Student office o7. I run XP on my pc and Office 2003. How can i get them to talk to each other?

* you can setup a small network in your home buy buying a switch and connect both computers.give each computer a different ip address e.g 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.2
* you cannot open the office 07 to your office 2003 because office 07 is the higher version of office 2003.
