speaking, the magnet is located in the dispenser drawer. Double check the
drawer and if it is closed, remove the drawer and examine the placement of the
magnet and reinstall. If the magnet is missing or defective, the magnet
probably needs replacing. However, if the magnet is in good condition and in
place, an experienced technician may need to examine the reed switch or main
The dispenser drawer on many Electrolux/Frigidaire built machines do require a magnet on the right hand side of it to activate the reed switch inside the console located there. It should fit in the bottom of the drawer, if you flip it upside down you should see it's intended location.
Let me know how you make out and I'll help further in any manner I can. Good luck.
If you are talking about a small, rectangular magnet, about a 1/16" think or so, it goes in the detergent dispenser drawer. Looking at the front of the drawer, right side, a little behind the front. This magnet triggers a ( or should if its not falied) a magnetic reed switch which allows the washer to operate only if the drawer is closed.
If you take the drawer out, and remove the front, you will see where it goes.
Thanks for using FixYa. Error DDo means dispenser drawer open. There is a little magnet attached to the right hand side of the detergent drawer which activates a reed switch to "tell" the machine that the drawer is closed. That magnet might have moved from it's place and that's why you are getting error ddo. magnet is part key number 51. Pull the drawer out and check on the handle part for a magnet. When the drawer is closed the magnet activates a switch in the console that tells the control the detergent drawer is closed. Please check this link for details(part #51)--
I have an error code chart that came with mine and it says a few different things for E10. 1st says water not entering washer. 2nd says water leaks. 3rd soap dispenser drawer is open. In another post there was something about a magnet needed in the drawer too. But I would suggest checking your hoses and making sure you have water and the drawer is completly closed.
it fell out of the dispenser, hold the dispenser facing away from you on the left side there is a small slot, place the magnet in vertically so the long side of the magnet is on the right when looking from the front with the drawer closed good luck
When you are looking at the drawer, the magnet stands upright on the far right side just inside the outer front casing about halfway down. There is a small plastic clip that holds it in place. You don't need to take anything apart to reinsert the magnet, just open the drawer, but it may be easier to see the location if you pull the drawer all the way out of the hole.
