Question about Televison & Video
I have a remote control but it gives no clues as to its make it just says universal remote control on the bottom part and BD-512 at the top the top two buttons on the left are tv/vcr and memo and then a red power button.
Can you help me to get some info on it so that I can use it.
Thanks David C Denison
You can find the remote control codes for difrent brands of
If none of the codes work then we have two other solutions:
1. Searching For Your Code
If you have tried all of the set-up codes for your brand of equipment ,or your brand is not listed, and you are still not able to get the unit to respond, try the following procedure to search for your code.
If you don't find a code that works, the remote will flash four times when you reach the end of all the codes for this device type.
Make sure that the remote is pointed at your device during the search, You may have to press this sequences of buttons up to 100 times to search the entire library of codes.
2. Learn the buttons from the original
Line up your original remote and the head-to-head before completing the following steps.
Now you can repeat steps 3 through 5 to learn other functions onto other keys or press and hold SETUP until the Cinema's red light flashes twice to lock in your new feature. (If the red light does not blink twice, stop and repeat steps through 6).
To test the new feature, press and release the device key in which the new feature was learned followed by the key on which the feature was learned

If you want to download the origional manual go to www.remotecentral.com and enter the following filename bd512-manual.zip This worked for me as it has a full list of all models and codes and is easy to set up once you have the correct code.Hope this helps somebody.

Its all sorted now...the remote did find the code when it switched it off, so now I press TV1 or TV2 on the remote as soon as it picks up a code and switches off and this usually stores the code straight away. !!! Hurray !!!
Now my little boy keeps getting hold of the remote control and messing the code thing up so I have to keep resetting it, but I guess thats just life !!! At least I can get it to work now.
Thanks for everyones brilliant advice. Much appreciated.
Bye for now.
