Lost the cords to brand x car stereo and dvd system. where can i go to find the lost cords

Have you tried Cartoys, or your local Auto parts store? I do not believe that Walmart sells these parts separately, but the ones that I suggested might.

Thank you for contacting Fixya. Does this help? Let us know.

We have a picture but no audio, when connecting Zenith DVB211 DVD) player to Vizio CABLE TV...

If you are using the original cable, is it fully seated? Is the volume on the player up? Or is it all the way down.

Does the playback set recognize the audio source? A work around if using the original cable- use a 1/8 inch mini double ended stereo cable like some computer speakers use and plug into the headphone jack over to the 1/8 inch stereo "Audio In" connector on the set.

Set-up for portable DVD player by Craig cmd420

Hello
[1] Insert the batteries into the Craig DVD player. Depending on the model you are using, the batteries are either rechargeable lithium-ion batteries or store-purchased AA batteries.
[2] Plug the 3.5mm cable into the headphone jack on the side of the Craig DVD player
[3] Insert the opposite end of the cable into the "Aux" connection on the car stereo. Without this audio-input option, you will be unable to hook the Craig DVD player up to your vehicle.
[4] Power on the Craig DVD player and insert the desired DVD. The video will load onto the display screen while the audio is played through the car's stereo system.

I dont know how to hook my dvd player to what kind of cables do i need?

DVD players usually have video and stereo cable connections that you can connect to a TV. If your TV has only RF antenna input, then you need a RF converter($10-20) that can change video and stereo cables to RF cable.

I have a JVC DVD Player & VCR Model HR-XVC27U. It is hooked up to a Panasonic TV CT-32SL14J. I have Cable. With the JVC, I have lost any audio. If I record a VHS, I get picture, no audio. If I...

Shifting a heavy item, or anything really, can cause damage to either the cable or the port the cable is plugged into very easily.

I recommend replacing the audio cable, or trying an alternate audio output (you may be able to choose between RCA-style stereo audio output, digital PCM and digital optical.)

Similarly, the dvd player may be setup to output audio in a format that isn't matching what your AV receiver is expecting - again a variation of either stereo, digital rca or digital optical.

I hope that helps.

I just bought the dual headrest from walmart and can not get the sound to work the passenger side. can anyone help me with this?or possibly tell me how to get the sound through the stereo.

The monitor only headrest does not have audio handling circuitry in it. the wire harness for that side is the one with the red and black wire, and the two video inputs, not the harness with the red and black wire and the three RCA jacks. It will function on the wrong harness, but it is not the correct one.

The DVD headrest has two harnesses. One of them is for power and output, the other is for input only from another source. The harness with the red and black wire has the three RCA outputs... the video lead goes to the other headrest, and the audio can be fed to an aux input on a stereo or amplifier. The input harness is designed to be Video 2 input from either a gaming system (a Game Cube is a nice option), or another DVD or video source (hand held video device such as iPod or Smart Phone like a HTC Touch Pro 2).

To get sound out of the stereo, either run the audio output from the headrest to the aux input on your stereo, or cycle the FM transmit options using the FMTX button on the DVD player unit to a station you can tune to on your car's FM radio.

How to hookup an IPOD to a pioneer avh-p6500 car stereo

If your car stero has a stereo audio input connector then you can plug a cable in the headphone on the IPod and the other end of the cable into the stereo audio input on the car stereo.
If you don't have an stereo input on the car stereo then you can buy a FM transmitter that is powered by the car's cigarette socket, connect the IPod to the transmitter, switch on the car radio and tune it to the FM station that matches the FM transmitter.
You can now listen to your IPod from the car radio.

Its illegal to watch a dvd/tv when the vehicle is moving so the manufacturer disables the function.. Usually by connecting a cable to your handbrake indicator or to your vehicle speed sensor VSS.
Youll have to find out which one it is. You can then find out how to disable it. JVC's normally ground the H/brake cable
