I got a new cell phone and I got it wet and now its all glitchy. I took out the battery and dried it out, but its still screwed up. I push a button and it dials, I try to take a picture and it goes to text messaging, and the screen moves back and forth. Also the keys don't work right, I dial a number and it dials 3 or 4. I just would like to know if I could fix it if there is something I could replace. Please hekp, Nick

I have yet to hear someone get a cell phone wet and is able to get it out after drying it out and whatever else is suggested.Your best bet is tojust get a new one.Buying the individual parts to repair could end up costing more than just replacing.Sorry but that's just the nature of the beast.Good luck! My nokia e63 fell in water.... what is the solution????

Immediately remove the phone from the water, turn off the cell phone remove the battery and SIM card. When you have driedthe cell phone by putting in a warm sunny place for several days then reassemblethe phone. Hopefully it will work properly but if does not work then it isfaulty and you need a new cell phone.

I think my samsung sgh-t819 got wet, first thing that happened is it would not hang up when i finished my last call on it, so i took battery out to restart it. when i got battery back in the only thing the...

Take the battery out and let all of the components inside the cell phone dry out, then try powering it up, never power up a wet phone this will certainly cause damage to it. I had mine go through the washer (believe it or not!) and I let it dry out for several days and it worked fine afterwards. Good luck to you!

Phone got wet & works fine but says network error

Cell phones do not recover gracefully from getting wet internally. The electronics were not made to get wet.
You would be better served to get a new phone. Getting a cell phone wet is almost alway death to the electronics, even if the phone is dried out completely, The problems caused by the damp electronics will cause strange and intermittent problems.

Sidekick 2008 got wet

I dropped a phone in the toilet once, a T-mobile phone. it took a couple of days for it to dry out completely. Then I snapped it back together, and it was fine. Being that yours just got wet, and not immersed is different though, so you may want to take it into T-mobile and see if they can check it out for you because then you will know for sure what is going on. Good luck.

My phone got wet; I want to remove the front cover to dry it out

Easy! My wife did the same thing to hers. Remove battery door, on the back near the bottom (the end where you plug in the charger) you will two little black prongs. Press the two prongs toward each other and push down on them. This will cause the cover to lift away from the phone.
Gently grasp the front and move it toward the top. Reverse to re-install the cover.

Heating the phone LIGHTLY with a hairdrier can speed up the drying process.

Wet phone

Did you try taking out the battery and letting it dry. Depending on how wet it got, your battery may need to dry out or the phone is damaged. My friend dropped his in the shower, took 2 days for the battery to dry out and it was fine.
