My maytag neptune ensignia electric dryer won't shut off when on automatice mode. I got it fixed a week ago by cleaning th exhaust went and replacing the duct with a more rigid type, but now it is doing it again.

Any idea how to permanenty fix this issue ? Do I need to replace the sensor ?

The wire my be off the sensor , but when you say it worked after cleaning vent makes me think the vent needs more cleaning, the dryer is designed to run until the clothes are dry if that takes 4 days it will run 4 days, if the vent is not good it cant dry, remove the vent and run a load see what happens with out any vent on it

our dryer just keeps running and doesnt not shut off after cycle is done. You have to unplug or open door for it to shut off. This is not a refurbished dryer we had bought brand new

Sounds like the motor went out. Before trying to start it it needs to be inspected. If you are not comfortable opening up the cabinet then I would would recommend calling a service tech. If you need further assistance please let me know.

first, check the exhaust, make sure every inch of it is clean on the inside. if there is any blockage, the heat will build up in the exhaust and a sensor will shut down the heating element.

Neptune Dryer PF Error Code

PF is a 'Power Failure' code meaning the dryer power may be interrupted. The plug receptacle may be bad. Check the plug for proper tension. If feels loose, have the receptacle replaced. Inspect the plug for discoloration. (a sign of a bad receptacle). If all looks OK, Check the power connections at the dryer. If looks OK the electronic control may be defective.
