I Had the same problem.
I found out what it was. The buzzing sound came from the AC/DC charger. I changed it and everything is working fine now !
Try with a AC/CD adaptater puting it on the right voltage and check if it,s working without this buzzing sound.
Have a good day !

There is a loud buz on the phone line

is there a channel selection button/. if so try selecting different channel as lots of electrical equipment can interfere with walkabout phones as can hearing aids. have u asked neighbors if they are having same problem? might be a fault on line? u can check to see if there is a fault on the line by going to bt faultfinder and typing in your phone number and they check it for u for free. hope some of this helps?

Very loud buzzing

The sound can also be caused by a faulty outside line. You can bring in a different telephone (like one at your house) and see if the buzzing sound disappears. If not its either a line problem or a jack/wire problem.

Loud buzzing while other phone is on base. Switching phones on base has no effect on issue. Taking phone off base hitting 'talk' helps with issue, but buzzing returns upon placement on base..

did you have "buzzing" Before these phones? Anything electrical fan etc on the same circut breaker of your house?. Or buzzing start recently with these already running. It sounds like your describing "electrical noise" and not really a issue with the phoned them selves. Try relocating the base if you have another open wall jack and on another circut. If you notice it goes away check whats all on that circut (wall outlet) that you unplugged the base from. depending on the noise or lack of at the new location it would probly be something running on there. ..
Hope this gives ya a solid start on a fix :)

Buzzing noise

well I think I have solved the problem...

After numerous attempts to isolate the unit from possible source of interference, I had the idea to
reset the base unit (disconnect and reconnect the power cable) and it seems to have worked!!!
Often the solution is the most obvious but our minds look for complications all the time!

thanks anyway

No dial tone, just buzzing noise - should be 2 line phone, 1 jack

What you need is a dsl filter since you are working off a splitter. You can usually get these for free from your phone company.
