Question about Nokia N70 Cellular Phone

Database corruption Hi guys, I have a serious problem with my phone, all my media inc pics vids and music tracks have all been erased.. When i go to Gallery, the phone is telling me that the database is corrupted and that some files maybe lost.. However i do still have some pics left in my gallery, can anyone tell me how it is possible to regain the corrupted data, and also how can i prevent this from happening again in the future? My hdd is still telling me that i have 2g left so the data should still be in the phone somewhere..

It freezes when it says refreshing database.i erased all the songs because out of nowhere it said most of my songs were bad tracks so i erased all of them then when i turned it on it says refreshing...


your mp3 player's software got corrupted...please go to your nearest SanDisk customer care....if warranty period of the mp3 player is still there....they ll reinstall the software for free...other wise they charge u some minimum cost....

See if you can back up your Fuze on your PC (if you haven't already done so) so you don't lose your music.
When your Fuze gives you the "90mb free space" error, you need to do a format of your Fuze as the database that tracks all the music on the Fuze has become corrupt and the Fuze can no longer refresh the database. You will have to format and erase and reload all of your data (music, movies) back onto the Fuze once this is done.
See if doing a reset will power your Fuze on if you still can't get it to turn on. To reset, slide the Power Switch up and hold it for approximately 10 seconds.
(Again this will erase everything, so make sure you have back it up first).
Next, Format the Fuze using the internal function (Settings -> System Settings -> Format -> Yes) and reload your music.

Mp3 player problem


The bad track error just means you need to reformat the player, the database got corrupted somehow, no worrys, just reformat and reload, you should be good to go.

Your database is corrupt

You have two choices here:
1) Delete the songs
2) Reformat the player

The player isn't trying to BS you

There are two ways to format an Mp3 player - one on the computer itself, and one in Windows Media Player. Both methods will end up erasing all the songs on the player, but the player will be "good as new" after that. Sometimes reformatting in this manner will override the player's native formatting and cause problems - this can be reversed in most cases by updating the player's firmware. Firmware upgrades are available from most manufacturers' websites.

WARNING: The following procedures will erase all songs on the player.

Check if the file system is NTFS. If yes, format it to FAT or FAT32. - Connect player to computer, double-click my computer, right click on icon of mp3 player and select format. This only applies to Windows-based computers.
You can also format the player in Windows Media Player itself:
Connect your Mp3 player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "name of Mp3 player here 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.

Sansa is unable to synch new music and only has 5 "bad tracks" on it that I can't delete...


Two possible methods:
Go ahead and do this, in case the DB is corrupted:
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out: http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/DriverDownloads.aspx

Cannot load the music Data base.


Music Database refers to the information you see on the screen (i.e. Artist, Album, etc.) The device needs some free space in order to create this list.

The device is either too full, or the database is corrupt.

First, try connecting to your PC and deleting about 10 to 15 tracks. Restart the device and see if that helps.

If not, Try formatting the device thru My Computer>Device name (U10)>Right Click and select format.(this will erase everything on the device)

Sansa music transfer problem


Thats probably the best idea to erase everything and start anew. You can format the device in My Computer>Device Name (e250)>Right Click on it and select Format. This will erase everything on your device. If you are getting Bad Track from just a few songs, just delete them as they may be corrupt. Also, you need to keep some free space on the device to create the database. Keep at least 6MB free for every GB. Best of Luck.
