Question about Printers & Copiers

1 Answer

Problem: ip4300 printer, bought new ink tanks, 4 pak from best buy-your product not generic-cyan 8c, magenta 8m, yellow 8y,black 8bk, ChromaLife 100, was printing okay for a short while, now magenta is not recognized, keeps saying it is not the right one, please re-place with correct cartridge--came in your 4pak, is not the incorrect one. Printer is clean, not heavily used, less than 2 yrs old, ink was bought few months back. Do not have receipt, and frankly, with the gas prices so high and me without a car, I cannot get to the Best Buy right now. What can be done to get my magenta, henceforth my printer, back into being able to print? Amy J

Long shot idea, remove the cartridges & clean the gold electrical contacts with a pencil eraser.. Hopefully you might be able to get down into the cartridge bay area to clean them. Sometimes dirt of grit can cause them to not connect electrically. Make sure you don't touch them with your fingers etc.

Error code U150 The following ink tank cannot be recognized

First, make sure you have the right ink cartridges. Here are the right codes: CLI-8BK and PGI-5BK for black, Yellow - CLI-8Y, Magenta - CLI-8M, Cyan - CLI-8C.

If the ink lamp is off then an ink tank error has occurred. Try to remove the ink tank and re-seat it. Make sure you removed the plastic cover on the ink tank. If nothing helped, you need to replace the faulty ink tank.

Can't find where the ink cartridges are on the cannon mp830 to replace

THE INK CARTRIDGES :
This multifunction printer is compatible with all of the following ink cartridges. Here is a list of these cartridges and how they you can get them:

PGI-5 Pigment Black
CLI-8Bk Black
CLI-8C Cyan
CLI-8M Magenta
CLI-8Y Yellow

All of the ink cartridges are easy to install and/or replace; all you have to do is keep the printer ON, then open the cover it will come in the position and then unlock the cartridge which allows you to remove and replace the cartridge.

These cartridges cost any where between $10 and $15 each. But if you want a good deal, I would suggest purchasing your ink supplies from Costco Wholesale as they provide good prices on packages.
