My printer has problem when i connect printer to my pc it's show the usb device not recognized .
i already change the usb code but seems this problem still now from last 10 days or more

Go into your computer printer set-up and check if there are any jobs left to print. Check manual or tech support. Maybe youtube has video on it.

Redo the software drivers for the printer. Go to their web page and download the new driver set.

There is no computer connection/refer to device documentation.


Are you talking about a physical connection or a communication connection?

Of course there is a USB port on the back, providing a physical connection.

If there is no communication, I suggest you go to www.hp.com/support and download the latest software which is compatible with your operating system. Next, go to the control panel/printers and delete the device. Turn your computer off, unplug the printer from the computer. Turn the computer back on, run the software you downloaded and follow the on screen instructions.

The Print Diagnostic Utility diagnoses and resolves common printing problems and communication problems, including:

  • Connectivity :
    • USB: Ensures that the USB connection from your computer to the HP product is working correctly.
    • Network: Ensures that the network connection between your computer and your network is working correctly. If the tool detects a network connectivity problem, you will be prompted to run the HP Network Diagnostic Utility for better results.
  • Spooler : Automatically restarts the print spooler, which sends print jobs from the computer to the product, if it has been stopped.
  • Online status : Checks if the product has been paused or set to offline, and then sets the status back to online if necessary.
  • Device manager : Checks for problems in Device Manager that would prevent printing.
  • Print queue : Checks for and clears pending print jobs in the print queue (a log of print jobs waiting to print).
  • Port : Checks the port settings for the HP product.

Not printing


First how are you connecting to the printer? What do you see when you look at the printer details (in Windows, Start, Printers or Devices and Printers (Win7), open device (double left click or right click)) Does it say printer ready? Are there any documents in the queue?

First: check if the printer is connected to the computer and that the cable is good (new cables are a good test). If you have a USB connection, try a different port. If you use a USB hub, try connecting directly to the computer (esp. on a bus-powered hub). If you are using a print server, check that the network connection is up and try rebooting the network router.

If you have documents stuck in the queue, you can delete them. If straight deleting from the queue does not work, you can force the entire queue to empty from the command prompt or Start Run. In both cases, type "net stop spooler" without the quotes, then to restore the spooler type "net start spooler". Restart the computer. (You can do this with just the stop command but plan on going for coffee after the restart.)

Not all multi-function devices incorporate the ability to scan via a network connection. Since you didn't provide a printer model, I can't look it up to answer this fully. The ability to scan via a network connection is a function of the software that is provided with the printer. Check the documentation to be sure that the printer does indeed support network scanning and then go to the printer manufacturer's website and download the latest application (driver) package to eliminate the possibility of a software issure. The software should install a device in your scanners and cameras (Windows XP) that can then be used as a scanner source for applications within your computer.

Print cartridge problem : [tri-color}. Refer to device documentation to troubleshoot... I can't seem to find the documentation - must have lost in move. Refilled cartridge and still same problem


My husband pushed and wiggled each connection on the back of printer and it started printing. No flashing problems!! Maybe it is in the connections.............Hope this works for you

Printing photos on C7280 printer directly from camera


  1. FIRST TRY TO CANCEL ALL THE PENDING DOCUMENTS WHICH YOU HAVE GIVEN BEFORE THEN TRY TO PRINT IF THIS DOES NOT WORK THEN TRY OTHER OPTION GIVEN BELOW.
  2. CHANGE THE USB WIRE (THE CONNECTION BETWEEN PRINTER AND YOUR PC )IF IT IS TOO OLD.
  3. THERE MAY BE THE PROBLEM WITH USB DRIVERS IN UR PC .
  4. TO RECTIFY --- RIGHT CLICK THE MY COMPUTER ICON
  5. CLICK PROPERTIES AND THEN CLICK HARDWARE N GO TO DEVICE MANAGER
  6. UNINSTALL ALL USB PORTS AND THEN SCAN FOR HARD WARE CHANGES
  7. UR PC WILL DETECT UR PRINTER N ASK FOR PRINTER DRIVERS
  8. RELOAD DRIVERS N UR PC WILL COMMNICATE WITH UR PRINTER.
