Couple of possibilities.. If there is a fan or vent between the fridge & freezer, it may need to be adjusted.. Or the simplest thing is there might be one or two thermostats controlling the temperatures of both the fridge & freezer. Maybe you can adjust the temperature that way. Sometimes a door heater can cause an unexpected change in temperature.. Check to see if there's unusual heat around the door. Also, test the temperature using a different guage, as it may be faulty. The bottom line is that it could be low in refrigerant gas, if thats the case you need special guages, leak detector, charging cylinder etc. Quite hard to fix. Is the compressor running for long periods of time? If so, maybe it's never satisfied & the system does have a leak. Anyway, see if you can test (ice or spray can of freeze) the bulb or sensor on the end of the thermostat. Replace it if it's faulty, it's the easiest thing to fix. Rgds.

Electrolux american fridge freezer cooling problem

There is a defrost timer on the unit. It is supposed to come on and melt the ice that forms on the coils in the evaporator. IF you get a lot of ice built up or something is wrong with the timer, it wont melt the ice or it wont come back on to cool the unit.

2006 f150- temperature gauge stays cold but "check gauges" flashes in mini message center.

Since the temp gauge is not working correctly, you get the warning message.
Could be a faulty temp sensor or a problem in the wiring harness.

Our caravan fridge electrolux rm4206 gets cold on both gas and 240v mains but does not seem cold enough ie freezer compartment is not quite frozen and fridge compartment is not cold enough. Any...

remove the fridge from caravan, now turn upside down and leave for as long as possible. what this does is get rid of any air locks in the gas. once left for a month or too turn back and leave for a day to setal and refit to caravan.this should solve your problem, it has been tried and tested on our caravan and worked. (This will not work on a domestic house fridge because they work on a different system)

I have a zanussu fridge

Re. Zanussi ZK87/46EFS Fridge Freezer

The same symptom occurred in our fridge freezer. The fridge compartment warmed up whilst the freezer compartment continued to keep temperature.

The cause of our problem was diagnosed as a frozen sensor that controls a flap, that controls the flow of cold air from the freezer compartment up into the fridge compartment. We were advised to power off the fridge freezer (removing all food and trays from the freezer unit first), and to leave it to defrost for 24hrs. We needed to place a few towels on the floor of the freezer compartment to soak up the melt water. After 24hrs we followed the power up instructions in the manual (versions are available online if you have lost yours). Within a few minutes it was obvious that the fridge compartment was being cooled – Problem solved :)
