Don't worry about your Data its absolutly safe.......just do one thing format your system using any bootable Operating System C.D. it will be work....an for Motherboard You have to reinstall all the Drivers in the System.......if you don't have Drivers C.D. then you can downloaded it from Acer Site by using your Product Code.........
