Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook
If you can find a friend with the same CD (ie windows XP home or professional) that matches your COA tag, you can use any CD to relaod the OS and then put in your COA number to re validate. You may have to call Microsoft to validate but they are very nice when you have the legit COA.. If you can't find a CD you can often buy just the CD on eBay for $10-15 - without the COA. If you can get to another computer, downlaod and create a CD of the Ultimate Boot Disk (http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/) and run this first to make sure your HD is working - it may have failed.
