You could try to uninstall the printer driver, and reinstall it, but first try a different printer cable

My problem is its printing the test sheets but not the documents i want it to

Hi,

How is your printer connected ? Thru USB Cable or On network ( router ) ?

If it is cable connected ( USB ) try the steps below

Disconnect the Cable from printer and PC and Reconnect and try to print.

If this does not help, Try the steps below

Go to Start / Run and type in "services.msc" without quotation marks, then press Enter or click OK.

(If you are using Windows Vista/Win 7, You need to click on START button and under search program and files - Enter the Services.msc and click the same program from Program list that appear )

In the window that opens (Services) look for "Print Spooler" on the right

Right-click "Print Spooler" and select "Properties".

Click on the "Recovery" tab and change all 3 drop-down boxes to "Restart The Service".

Make sure the 2 text boxes underneath say "1" in them.

Click Ok until you are back at the Services window, close it and you're good to go.

Go back into the properties of the "Print Spooler" tab and be sure to click Start to restart the Print Spooler service and it will restart the service immediately.

The Print spooler depends on the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service. Is this service disabled? Go to services.msc look for RPC. Check state: Automatic

When sending a doc to print it reboots the computer

Hi,
There could be lot of reasons for this to happen.
First, It could be because of faulty/corrupted Cable if you are connecting your printer to PC with USB Cable.
Secondly, it could be because of Driver mismatch, you need to uninstall and reinstall the printer software/drivers
Or it could be problem with Printer spooler.

Try the steps below

Go to Start / Run and type in "services.msc" without quotation marks, then press Enter or click OK.

(If you are using Windows Vista/Win 7, You need to click on START button and under search program and files - Enter the Services.msc and click the same program from Program list that appear )

Print spooler unable to connect tp printer, cable

Print internal configuration page and check for IP address in printed sheet and try to compare with the driver information
Check for LED at network card if it’s on
Try to send ping command to IP address to verify connection and if reply is confirm
Uninstall driver and reload and try to search the printer with IP or hardware address while loading driver
If still any problem it could be network card have problem need to be replaced

The printer won't print PDF and says printer stopped despite reboot on/off

Try restarting the print spooler.
Open up a command prompt by clicking on the start button then selecting run. In the run dialogue box type cmd and hit enter. Once in the command prompt type net stop spooler. It will then display some text saying that it has stopped. Once it has type net start spooler and try printing again.
Btw, what PDF printer were you using?

Print spooler

Usually, from the program you create your doc in, the OS will send it to spooler in the printer language. This is good as it then lets you get back to work, freeing up the processor. In some OS you can print direc t to printer ((setting usually in print dialogue box.

Everytime i turn my computer on and try to use my printer won't go untill i go to printers&faxes and reset the default from one printer to the other printer-the icons in the printer/fax box are as...

Once remove the USB cable from the computer and perform spooler refresh by performing the below steps:

1. Click start >> run >> type >> services.msc >> locate print spooler and then right click on it and select stop and then again right click on it and select start.

Now open the printers and faxes folder and then try to delete the icon which is stating deleting.

Now right click on the other printer icon and click on properties >> adavanced tab >> print directly to printer >> click OK.

Now connect the USB cable to the computer and then try to print.

If you are still not able to print then remove the USB cable and delete even the other printer icon and insert the CD and click on add a device and follw the instructions and connect the USB cable at the middle and then try to print once it finishes.

We experience this type of issues if the printer driver is not installed properly.
