This is the most common issue for our HP 7700 series, ensure you have cleaned the gears from the rear duplexer, especially if the LCD readout displays or instructs you to remove the rear duplexer.

Thanks, tried all the maintenance options including cleaning the rollers. What I have found worked very well was to bin the printer and purchase an HP model!

PLEASE REMOVE THE POWER CABLE AND REINSERT IT IT SHOUL BE OK AND IF STILL PERSIST JUST RESTART THE PC IF STILL RESIST PLEASE LET SOME TECHNICIAN TO CHECK FOR THE SENSOR FOR THE PAPER JAM ...

Double check as sometimes a small amount of paper will give this error message. If you are sure no paper is in the path/feeder, then unplug your printer from the ac supply for about 10mins (Logic reset) then plug back in and this should have this working again.
