How do i restore a toshiba tecra 8200 to factory settings

These antiques came with either Windows 98SE, Windows ME, or Windows 2000. They did not have a recovery partition. You would need to use the OS disk that was supplied with the device, install it, then use the Drivers and Applications Disk that came with it and install them. If you don't have those disks, or if the unit was upgraded past that point, to say Windows XP, you would have to reload that OS and its drivers. There is no easy hotkey recovery method for this device. Sorry.

You were supposed to burn a set of recovery disks at the time you received the laptop. There were no recovery disks supplied with the unit. Manufacturers do this for cost savings purposes. You can get replacement drivers for the unit on the Acer support site, but the operating system is not available for download. If you can find a friend with an OEM version disk of you OS, you may be able to reload it using the Product Key on your laptop. It may not work either as most units use a VLK key and not the one supplied on the case. Your only other options are to try to contact Acer for disks (not likely), or purchase a retail version of the OS and reinstall. You can then use the drivers on the ACER site to set up the new OS. You will lose any and all preloaded extras however.

How to change hard drive

Here is a link to the Compaq service manual. It will instruct you on how to access the case and, and how to remove and replace the Hard Drive.

Remember that after you replace the hard drive, if it is the primary, you will need to reload the operating system using wither the support disks supplied with the unit or with the recovery disks you made at the time of purchase. Without those, you will not be able to operate the PC once the drive is replaced.

Factory reset acer aspire 5315 gone wrong

I think you need to reload windows with a operating system disk. Most times the Factory Recovery discs don't work.

Get a windows operating system disk and just reload windows. The disk must match the Certificate of Authentication (COA) sticker on the bottom of her laptop. In other words, don't use a Windows XP Home operating system disk if the COA sticker says Windows XP Professional or you'll never be able to activate windows.

Lost pass word need to reset cpu for compaq cq62

There is no reset for a lost password, the only way to bypass the password is to erase it from the system, to do that you must reload the operating system using the recovery disks you either made when the PC was new or in some cases were supplied with the PC from the manufacturer. If you don't have the disks you can buy them very cheap from the PC maker through the parts dept.

Since the WARRANTY still is valid, the easiest route is to exercise the warranty.

Or, use the supplied "System Restore" set of CD-ROMs to reload Windows (this will wipe-out any data from your 'C:' disk-drive).

It might be possible to temporarily remove the disk-drive, connect it as a "slave" disk-drive in another computer, and then to copy all your files onto DVD-writable disk(s), before sending it in for warranty service.

I would like to format my computer and reload windows vista on it again. can you tell me how to make a vista disc so i can reload it

You will need to contact your manufacturer for a reload disk that that you can reload your operating system. If your computer was recently purchased or is under warranty, many times they will not charge you for the disk, only shipping and handling. If that is not an option, then you can go to your local Best Buy or other computer store and purchase a reload disk or purchase the operating system.

What is on my Tiny Computers reload disk and how do I use it?

Usually the "restore" disk that came with the computer has the operating system. You can probably do a repair from this disk.
Good luck!
