Question about Televison & Video

Stuttering Sound Have new Acer Aspire E500 1 gig ram Media centre 2002 with service Pack 2 Pentium R4 3.4 gig The DVD movie sound (Speech) is slow and stuttering on all disks. (DVD's) Have secondry IDE drive configured to hardware with DMA on. MP3's run normally. Problem persists with media player,Cyberlink Power DVD or media centre. Voices sound as as they have a drawled stutter. Same from cold start and no applications running If I use VLC with no menus selected all is O.K. With the menu option the problem returns. This however is a roundabout solution...where does the current fault lie?? I would prefer to integrate the solution into Media Centre and not go outside it.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How to get acer aspire x1800 to play stereo on a 5.1 dvd

it would depend on the media player more than the hardware. I suggest you try "Media Player Classic" which is included with the "klite media codec pack" During setup select "2.0 stereo" for your audio.

Dvd movie sound is slow

it sounds like your computer is having a problem syncing the audio with the visual. you can try to add more RAM to the computer, or you can make sure no other applications are running at the time when viewing a dvd. also try using windows media player to view instead of windows media center.

Hi, Do this for me. Check your RAM memory card(s). If it is bad windows will not run. Reseat the ram card and try again. Try with a new known ram cards. You may need a new card. Good luck.

You don't need Video drivers to play your media files, you need codec plug-ins to play your media formats with your installed media players.

Codec download site: http://www.free-codecs.com/

Alternatively you can install the MpcStar player from : www.mpcstar.com/ which plays most of the media formats.

Windows xp service pack 3 is your problem. SP3 takes a lot of memory to use. You should be able to uninstall sp3 and go back to sp2.

Acer aspire 2930 DVD player only opens some dvds

Try Media player classic under k-lite codec pack. Then open video files on the dvd. If it doesn't help try another codec player. If nothing helps could it be that dvd player is not capable of multilayer dvd reading.

You need a new DVD codec. If you have a copy of WinDVD, give it an install. Otherwise, try the free codec on www.divx.com.
