I've just re-instaled this printer after a year of covered storage. Changed both the black and colour cartridge (the old ones were expectedly dry.
Two problems - even though there's paper in, the top light still flashes and I have a feeling that the new ink cartridges aren't able to flow because of the one year's non-use, as the two lower lights are still on.
-   power light is flashing as are the paper light indicator and both black and color inks. Will not allow me to even check ink levels. Have turned it off and tried it not connected to any computer and it still does it. How do I fix it?

-   I have the same problem as Video Ace has. I have an Epson 740 printer. Cannot get it to feed paper by using the (button) aka load/eject. The paper light is the top light & it flashes along with the power on light. Also the 2 lights on the bottom are on solidy (no flashing). I have replaced both the Black & Color ink cartridges with good ones. I think if I could get it to feed paper & get the paper light to quit blinking it would solve everything. I have looked at the electronic manual & it didn't have the solution I was looking for. I have the printer completely removed (all cables & power supply are disconnected) from the computer & have the printer plugged in to another power source. This printer is completely on its own now. I am certain the warranty has expired for this printer, so I haven't contacted EPSON for help with this problem.
Thank you,
