Thanks iqbal_del, the controller is a logitech dual action game controller suitable for the mac. The only software that came with it is a mini cd to set it up for a Windows computer.I bought it to go with Call of Duty and while the game follows keyboard commands the logitech controller does nothing. I'll try the "gamepad companion" utility tomorrow and let you know how it went. Thanks again for your help
    Cheers Chris

    • See in the user manual of your game controller. Whether it supports for MAC or not.

    • Allso check out the driver/software is installed properly if any driver is needed for game controller.

    • However, a game that supports gamepads should pick it right up on a MAC, so connect this and just start the game. And check-out it should work.

    • There's a commonly used utility called "Gamepad Companion" on the Mac - see

    ok Chris,

I think it will work if your game supports gamepads.

Thanks for your feed-back. I think you will give fixya rating to my solution tommorrow.

    With great hope.

Controller doesnt connect to xbox 360 this doesn't work, the only option I can think of is purchasing a used controller and repeating the process above with the recently purchased controller. A safer and cheaper option, however, would be purchasing a used wired controller. There wont be as many problems.

On the home page controller keeps moving up but this does not happen during game play

Is this a dual shock controller or a computer controller? Dual shock controllers sometimes have sticky pads or the analog stick are looose, on a computer the controller may need to be calibrated.

Daughter received gift of Zoo Tycoon PC CD rom game. Can we install this on MacBook Pro? Directions don't seem to be for Macs.

I don't think you can. Here's the ssystem requirements page for this game: You have to buy it compatible for mac. Here's a link to for Zoo tycoon complete collection for mac:|Zoo_Tycoon_Complete_Collection_for_Mac&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=B0002YIUMY&ref=tgt_adv_XSG10001
or just the regular zoo tycoon for mac at amazon: Hope this helps! :)

Xbox 360

The Arcade model comes with no harddrive, no hdmi (for digital connection to an HDTV), and I beleive the controller is wired instead of wireless. If you are planning on just playing games then the arcade may be a good choice for you as it's cheaper but you may find yourself wanting a hard drive sooner than later. Without a hard drive you will not be able to purchase or rent movies and you will not be able to download game demos and Xbox Live Arcade games. To compensate Microsoft includes a disc with some of the greatest hits of XBox Live Arcade with the Arcade version. The Pro comes with a 20GB hard drive but still no HDMI. The Elite version has a 120GB hard drive and HDMI. For most people the Pro is the one to get. If you were to get the Arcade then purchase a hard drive later you will pay more than the price of the pro.
