Question about Digidesign Mbox 2 Barebone

Right input not working

The other day my mbox took a nasty spill and now the right input channel is not working. The button to switch from DI and Mic is no longer connected and is stuck on Mic, which isn't getting any sound through it either way. Any thoughts on what to do?

Thanks

The mic and 1/4 inputs are not working properly. everytime i plug in my bass or mic i'm getting static

You have a bad A/D converter. Maybe it can be replaced, but these units are pretty cheap, and may exceed the time to research and repair. Digidesign was bought out by Avid, and they may not support the unit if you're not the original buyer.

I dropped my mbox with a headphone adapter in the headphone input and it pushed it inside. I can now only hear out of the left headphone/speaker, is this fixable?

Hi Hermricks,
I actually did the same thing! I still havent fixed it, infact I havent tried too, but now that I have changed my signal path I need to use the headphone jack on the MBox.
Have you found a fix yet? There seems to be relatively no information online about this or where we could buy another headphone input and replace the broken one. (which is a relatively simple process to do at home).
If you get any further with finding out whats best to do, it would be great if you could email me and let me know. info@kristopherfisheraudio.com

Static on my mbox system

Well it all depends on what program you are using to record your music you will need to activate the noise reduction filter. or lower the volume on your mic but not on the program. Therefore your mic will not pick up any noise in the background and you will still have the same music quality.

PROBLEM KEEPIN MBOX 2 CONNECTION TO MAC LAPTOP

I have the same problem. Usually it will work when I reboot the computer. The trick is once you get the mbox working with the phantom power on, is to not turn off the phantom power during your session; the duration in which you use the mbox at that given time before shutting it down. You can switch the phantom off and it won't shut off, but if you press it back on, it may and for me more than half of the time it does shut off. I have a new problem with my mbox. I can't hear play back, even though I can hear sound from either input. Any suggestions?
