With the indulgence of Ekse...

An Acer Aspire 5670 for Intel Core Duo processor T2300 2MB L2 cache, 1.66GHz with Intel 945PM Express Chipset and an ATI Radeon Mobility X1400 with 128MB VRAM Video system.

Does you motherboard look like this?
acer - c06358f.jpg
If yes, then Part Numbers: MB.AA700.001, MBAA700001, 31ZB1MB00S0. The board ID is DA0ZB1MB8H0.

Hope this be of additional help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

    Hi again James,

The board ID number is almost like the serial number, it is unique to the board. What you have has the ID DAOZB1MB8G1, while the board on the picture has DA0ZB1MB8H. Both belong top the same family MB.AA700.001, MBAA700001, 31ZB1MB00S0.

Incidentally, Ekse would have more concrete info for you later on.

The part number should read in a white label somewhere on the motherboard.

Here are all the motherboard versions available for your model

is the DAOZB1MB8G1 on the 2nd hand motherboard?

That the code I send to acer asking for info about but if thats the code of your original motherboard then I dont know will it be any value.

  • Ekse Apr 30, 2008

Since I started to use fixya my english has been going downhill.

I sent the DAOZB1MB8G1 code to acer. If its from the original motherboard, then the information we get back might not be usefull at all.

But if the code is from the 2nd hand motherboard then we will know exactly what it is.

Responce from the acerparts group leader in sweden:

These are the ones that are used in that model:
    Aspire 5670 SeriesMain BoardMB.AA700.001MAIN BD.945PM.ZB1J.M54P.SATA
    Aspire 5670 SeriesMain BoardMB.A8500.001MAIN BD.945PM.ZB1J.M54P256
    Aspire 5670 SeriesMain BoardMB.ADZ06.002MAIN BD.ZB1H.M56PH256.SATA
    Aspire 5670 SeriesMain BoardMB.ADT06.001MAIN BD.ZB1J.M56P128.SATA
    Aspire 5670 SeriesMain BoardMB.ACD06.001MAIN BD.ZB1J.M56P256.SATA

but this is a rather new computer and if you provide me with the serial number I can (maybe) se what main board that's used in that model.

  • Ekse Apr 30, 2008

so post me the serial number in the bottom of the laptop cover.

  • Ekse Apr 30, 2008

But to me personally if the both codes match on the boards and they seem similiar. Then they most likely are the same or very similiar.

  • Ekse Apr 30, 2008

The serial is in the bottom of the laptop in the white label

I marked it with red, I hope you find it.

What is it you wish?

Without the laptop manufacturer name, and model number; we're
'dead in the water', here.

Model number is on the bottom.
I'm looking for something like Acer Aspire 5730z.

This way I can try to find out if is is a replaceable board, or you have to replace the entire motherboard; or attempt component board level repair.

I want to find the serial number of acer aspire one 's mother board and order it. Thanks

You really don't need the serial number of the board in order to replace it, just the model number (and revision level of the laptop). Here are two links that hopefully will help you:
This one is a complete service manual for the Aspire One:
Here is a site that sells replacement motherboards for your laptop:

Motherboard is fried should the proccessor be replaced too

Not necessary to replaced. First fix it with you new mother board and try to run. If that time its not working then replaced it. Before replaced just confirm its damaged.

Do you have a little knowledge on how to disassemble you unit. You need to disassemble your unit clean the dust, remove the (memory stick, hard disk drive, proccessor,) include also the power to the motherboard. Reset the cmos remove the jamper near the cmos. To locate the jamper you can see it in the motherboard near the cmos battery You can read a label CLR means clear.
If your unit are fresh for formatting you need to install also the video driver. You need to install the motherboard driver.

Good luck!
