Question about SanDisk Sansa E280 MP3 Player

SANSA not turned on....???

I bought new sansa player.... first time it turned on... i heard song... after that , iturned off... then i try for turn on..... it never com up......

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. I have a problem with my sansa fuze 4g. It turns on and off randomly, disconnects from the computer at random making hard to add or remove songs, and when i turn it on all i see is a blank white screen. ...


hmm,seems like problem with firmware. try to install ROCKBOX (a new os for mp3 players) it will be hard since it dissconnets from comp. but try it and once you do that, it may be good for your player .

Songs dissapeared!


Several things. 1. To correctly reset it, flip the lock button, then hold down the power button. 2. Format your sansa. Make sure you have all your stuff off. Then, format it. If you don't know how, e-mail me here : spazzysmash@gmail.com Then sync it back on!

Mp3 player restarts whenever i skip a song


try using recovery mode with the sansa.fmt file and update the firmware. this will erase all your music from the device so you will have to reload all your songs but it will probably fix the issue.

I have a sansa sandisk mp3 player. when i bought it it was working excellent.but all of a sudden it stopped working.this mp3 has no reset button i do not know how to fix the problem. sansa sandisk...


1. Are you able to turn it on ?
If so, press the the "power on" button the second time to activate the menu.
Still no luck ! Try putting in a new battery and try again.
2. You cannot "reset" anything.
3. Open up "windows explorer"
4. Scroll down the left pane of the window till you see the "sansa" removable disk
5. Right click it and select "format"
6. After formatting, try adding your files back again.
7. Use the >= button on the player tp play the songs.

The screen is turning white when I change song


You could possibly try recovery mode?

or formatting it and starting over, see if that helps

easy way to format

1.Shutdown player
2.Hold Rec button
3.Turn player on
4.Plug your player into the PC
5.Go to My computer
6.Find a Icon named 16Mb Format
7.Open that and make a new text file
8.Name it sansa.fmt
9.unplug player and it will say Formatting.....
10.when its finished it will reset , or shut off, when its done turn it on and see if that helps

Sansa shaker wierd music


These are the most common methods for recovering Sandisk's Sansa Mp3 Players. I have been almost universally successful in recovering Sansa players using one or a combination of these methods. These methods do not work if you are having synchronization or music format issues - they are for recovering a player that will not power up, freezes, flashes, is not recognized by the computer, and a host of other issues.

Reset the Sansa Player first. On most models, restart is done by holding the power button in for 15 seconds or longer. Check your specific manual to be sure. The manuals are available from the Sansa website if they have been misplaced.

If these fail, then:
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
If you get the problem where MTP Device keeps popping up continuously, uninstall the “MTP Device” by going to Start à Control Panel àSystem à Hardware à Device Manager (you computer may vary slightly, depending on Windows Version).
You may have to restart your computer after each of these methods to get them to work properly. Disconnect your Sansa player BEFORE shutting down your computer.

It froze


Sansa Clip Player has some problem. I tried 4 sansa clip players (I purchased at Best Buy for Thanksgiving), and none of them work. Dont even try to exchange them, just return them back.
